Aachen is a resort, spa and border town in North Rhine-Westphalia. The town features a magnificent Roman Catholic cathedral, Aachen Cathedral, dating to the 8th century. It is one of the oldest cathedrals in Northern Europe. Take a guided tour of Aachen Town Hall, a Gothic-Baroque building dating to the 14th century.

Rhineland Nature Park features dense forests, volcanoes, rivers and lakes. The vast nature park is great for watersports, hiking, bird watching and mountain biking. Stop at visitor centers to find information about key areas and activities in Rhineland Nature Park in North Rhine-Westphalia.

The large state is also known for other German cities, including Dortmund and Essen. Stay in Duesseldorf for boutique stores, art galleries, wine bars and restaurants. Cologne and Aachen are great for studying medieval buildings and learning about the region’s history.

              I was really impressed with the quality of this hotel. The staff were extremely friendly. The hotel itself was brilliant and I loved the street feel it offered. The swimming pool was brilliant and overall I would definitely return here.
