"We had assumed that we had booked a nice hotel I guess that it had been once. The room was not dirty as such but it definitely could have done with a deep clean, it could best be described as grubby. The whole place looked run down and in need of refurbishment."

"Pity you can’t check details else you would see I did not stay there as I got a phone call to say there was a problem with the hotel and they would have to move me to another hotel 30 minutes away as it was a busy weekend with football at Wembley they did say I would get a 50% discount as a good will but as yet not hear anything about a refund"

"We were welcomed by a lovely lady on reception. The room and bathroom were extremely clean and very comfortable. The young waitress in the restaurant was lovely! We visited for the university open day and she gave my granddaughter lots of tips on uni life at Hertfordshire. Charming young woman…. A credit to the hotel! I plan to visit my granddaughter regularly and would most definitely stay at the Comet when I do. "

"Fantastic place to stay, very friendly and Monica gave a warm welcome. Room was spacious, modern and immaculate. Complimentary bottled water, hot drinks, soaps etc. soft fresh towels and super comfortable bed. Highly recommended and I will be booking again."

"Breakfast okay, staff very friendly and welcoming.Good bar with selection of drinks. Toilet in my room could do with more scrubbing. Hotel is set in beautiful grounds; also close to Piccadilly line underground station. Standard rooms have no air conditioning. All in all lovely place. I will definitely stay again."

"This property is very tired and in need a full refurbishment. The rooms are small, and the bed (sold as a double), is 3/4 double at best. Positives, great location in relation to Enfield town and train station, the key code entry worked well, with the information / instruction sent in advanced and was well communicated."
