"I had a lovely short 1-night stay at the Grand Hotel du Lac in Hanoi. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The service was excellent throughout — from check-in to check-out. The room was very clean and well-maintained, offering a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options. The hotel’s location is also a big plus — conveniently situated and easy to access key spots in the city. "We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Hanoi. It was really great and would easily recommend. The location is super convenient as it's located right in the Old Quarter. The room was a bit smaller than anticipated, but was all we needed. Aircon and wifi were appreciated. Breakfast was included and had good buffet and hot alacarte options. The staff were amazing, especially Anna who gave us tons of tips on tours (booked thru her for our halong bay cruise). We also used their airport pick up service which went smoothly. All in all a perfect choice for about $45usd/nt."

"I really enjoyed staying at the Solaria. It is located next to the Old Quarter of Hanoi, which is the area that all visitors go to because it has lots of shopping, restaurants, night market, and things to see. Room was nice and clean. Free breakfast was pretty good with lots of choices. The staff is very professional and courteous. Upon my arrival, they also let me check-in early. Also, on the day that I departed, my flight was late in the evening, so they stored my luggage for me while I spent my last afternoon exploring. (I liked that they stored it in a locked room behind the reception, as it seemed more secure than other hotels that just leave your luggage in a corner of the lobby.)"
