"This was a lovely historic building which was remodeled from the old Thunder Bay Courthouse to a modern hotel. The rooms were beautifully done with much of the old woodwork and historical charm. We slept very comfortably on quality mattresses and bedding. The WiFi was fast, but the TV was difficult to maneuver through.
The hotel amenities were sparse with a very small basement fitness room and a very basic breakfast which I would rate as fair in quality.
The parking lot and sidewalk into the building was not maintained and it was very treacherous to get in an out of the building with icy and frozen slush built up for the 4 days we were there. There was no outdoor maintenance staff in site to plow, shovel or spread salt or sand anywhere. This was a surprise for such a nice, rather pricey hotel.
The staff was very accommodating and did all they could to give us a comfortable stay. I would stay there again, most likely in the spring thru fall seasons.

"There was not adequate parking. Check-in was easy. Hallways were dirty with dirty dishes present throughout our stay. There was a bad leak on the 3rd floor which soaked the wall and carpet in an area. The pool was over run with birthday parties. We booked here for the wayer slide, but it was closed when the kids went to use it. The room was kinda dark (like most hotel's these days) there was toothpaste looking residue on the faucet, and mold in the shower, no hand soap- but staff were quick to deliver it when i called.

"Nice room with a comfy bed. They welcomed my two Bengal kittens…. I love when places allow pets! The world is changing!… and pet owners want to travel!! Jesus…. (Sorry!… can’t remember the spelling of the rest of his name… but the lovely front desk attendant from Nigeria was AWESOME!! Give that young man a raise!! So personable and genuine. "
