My reservation was for 2 queen beds, and when I got to the room it had one King bed and was a Handicap bathroom. I also checked the bathroom to be sure they had a hairdryer because my wife forgot hers, and there was not one on the wall. I went right back down to the front desk from which I had just checked in (and to return the luggage cart) and there was no one there. Rang the bell several times over about a 3 minute period, roamed all around the office and breakfast area, and could not find anyone to question about my room. So, I just left things as they were, and left to eat, and to Walmart to buy a hairdryer. On the way out of the parking lot we saw the desk clerk outside chatting with the owner and his wife who were out for a walk.
The next day I went to check out of the room at 3:30 in the afternoon which we new was still a second night stay, and was in our plans the whole trip, but once again, no one at the front desk to check out with. Again, ringing the bell over and over, calling out for someone. No one anywhere, so we just got our things and headed home. I just would have liked to have been able to check out and get a receipt. So, instead, I called the next day around 10:30 and checked out over the phone.
I used to stay here a lot over the years, but stopped about 3 years ago because of things like this, and started staying at the Best Western just down the street. Much better place, but they don't accept pets, and we had our dog on this trip. Not next time.
