"It was absolutely fantastic. An old Villa transformed in a boutique hotel with great personality. It is like to be at home but even better! Many languages are spoken there! Rooms are gigantic and furniture is practical yet with a neat design, although the rooms look very romantic. "I like the vicinity to train station and Altstadt shopping and restaurants. The hotel lacks a few safety features in the Bathroom area like unsave bathtub ie could use rubber mats or hand rails. The Bar/Restaurant on street level is excessively noisy (music - low level base) at weekends Friday/Saturday up to 4AM."

"Wir waren nur für 1 Übernachtung dort und haben deshalb nicht alle Angebote wahrnehmen können. Wir wurden im Nebengebäude untergebracht. Das fühlt sich schon ein wenig wie "abgeschoben"an. Auch hätte die Dame an der Rezeption erwähnen können, dass es dort oben auch einen separaten Parkplatz gibt und uns nicht Koffer und Taschen eine lange Treppe nach oben schleppen lassen. "Late arrival was managed by the desk with no issue (even though they do not have 24h desk). Problem with payment - selected pay at the desk option - but the hotel took money directly from the deposit credit card (issues with reimbursement). All in all the hotel met the expectations. Room was on the river side. A bit noisy, but good view and fresh during summer."

Very hot in summer. Aircon ineffective

"Had challenges getting into the building in the evening as the instructions were difficult to get into the building itself. Out of hours support outside of the building wasn't clear until we got into the block. It also wasn't clear you can park the car in the car park and go up in the lift with your digital room key. The biggest issue was when we got into the room the air conditioning wasn't effective and was too hot to stay in. Things to note: We visited during a heatwave, so the place maybe fine in winter. Residents in the block confirmed the excessive temperature was the norm however. The information on connecting to the WiFi was also incorrect and there was no information or help guide in the rooms (something id highly recommend once the temperature of the rooms and communal areas is rectified). Once these issues are sorted the apartment is furnished to a very nice standard."

Great location and excellent breakfast

"The hotel is very conveniently located, within walking distance to the train station, grocery stores and a discount store. Make sure to walk to Rheinfelden, Switzerland, which is a very nice, underrated town. The breakfast at Hotel Danner was among the best of our 3-week European escapade. The staff at the front desk was excellent, especially the young man whose name I wish I remembered. He gave us very good advice about Basel. I definitely want to go back to Hotel Danner."

"This was a top class property. The room and all facilities were modern, clean, and in perfect working order. The location is amazing - a short walk to the lake, a great walk around the lake, and a fantastic castle/museum just down the road. The only issues we had were: There was no Enlish version for the self-check-in process, so there was a bit of guesswork. This made finding our room a matter of checking all the doors with the access card. The email with the room number only arrived sometime AFTER we found the room. The pillows were far too soft - they did not support my head. And the coffee machine in the lobby did not work. However, I would stay there again - Great location and amenities."
