"The staff was incredibly kind - greeted me with a smile and the check in process was smooth as was the check out! The room was nice and clean but there wasn’t any soap whatsoever in my room. I’m sure if I needed some I could have asked but I was only there for a night and then I left so it didn’t really matter. The bed was also pretty stiff so I had a little trouble falling asleep but if you like a hard mattress you’ll sleep just fine. The hotel is right in front of a river and walking distance to the Kotohira-gu Shrine. I will definitely be booking again for my next trip to Kotohira!"

"Staff was super. Location and hotel were great. Only complaint would be that the walls are a bit thin and the room next door was quite noisy until 2am. "

"Super friendly staff. Good dinner option. Rooms are super spacious for Japanese standards, but the bed had a quite hard old mattress and shower/bathroom was old, but functional. All in all decent value for the money spent."
