"What a beautiful experience we had at the ryokan. A perfect setting overlooking the lake, quiet, no noise from the town below. The staff was very kind and courteous, always helpful in assisting us with our questions. We learned about Japanese culture and had a wonderful experience; definitely get the dinner, it was worth it. I highy recommend this place, 10 out of 10. We will certainly be back again next time we visit Japan. "

"Most memorable stay of our trip. There’s a shuttle service from the station which was very helpful and makes commute easy. All the staff was very attentive and knowledgeable. The private onsen in the room was lovely. Kaiseki dinner and Japanese breakfast were excellent. We had a very lovely stay here and would highly recommend. "

"A classic onsen hotel near Ogotoonsen Station on the Kosei Line, about 20 minutes from Kyoto. The property has that old-fashioned Japanese charm — a bit dated in places, but warm and inviting. My room was traditional with futon bedding, which may not suit everyone, but I really enjoyed the authentic experience.
