"This is obviously a work in progress. Walking up to the building my first impression was a tad apprehensive. To my delight the owners focused on renovating the interior first and appear to be working on the exterior (although no active work was in progress while we were there). The room was clean, updated and was as advertised. Nice stay. "

"Good location, especially for the Teranaki Falls walk, but also for Tongoriro Crossing (20 minutes drive to the trail head). The staff was friendly. The room was clean and as-described. The property is a little old/dated. Also, the hot tub is only available 3pm to 8pm and you need to reserve a 30-minute slot (on the plus side you get the hot tub to yourself for the 30 minute slot, and the clean it fully every day). "
