You will need either an uber or car to get to and from the town centres. But its like under £10 euros for a uber so hardly expensive esp compared to London. Local to the area was the roman ruins and the Palace grounds (I believe the actual Palace has been converted to a hotel). I find you can cover the town sqaure in half a day. It is a super quite neighbourhood. "
