"Great location. Lovely food. But very small rooms. Beds moved all the time and was quite noisy to sleep in. Limited amenities. Staff was exceptional and super helpful. They do try to downgrade us form what we paid for so make sure you check!"

"OMG what a terrible experience.We have stayed here two times in past 15 years and were shocked at its current condition. There was no staff on duty, no amenities, no room telephone, no thermostat. It was very much like staying in a YMCA. I had a Hotels.com registration number, which was unrecognized by the computer system during checkin...had not the single staff member (who came out of nowhere) arrived to help, I don't know how we would have checked in. I hope this former grand and glorious hotel finds a better future !!"

"I can’t rave enough about this hotel.. it far beyond exceeded our expectations! The staff was excellent! The service was excellent! The concierge was excellent! We loved it so much every-time we tried to venture out, we wanted to go back! Because nothing compared to it . The food was empecable, the tea time service .. unmatched . We are very avid travelers and like to be pampered when we go on vacation . Of this is you! Stay here!!!! BTW the Japanese spa accommodations were excellent! I highly recommend this hotel to the pickiest of travelers. "
