"My experience was not good at all. I made the reservation back in February for a stay in May, specifically so we could enjoy the water park attractions for my daughters’ birthday. We also drove about three hours for this stay, expecting to fully enjoy everything the resort had to offer.
When we arrived, that was when we found out that the water slide and the lazy river were closed. Even so, the lazy river was still open to the public, and when passing underneath the slide there were large bags filled with water, supposedly because of the repairs, that looked like they could fall on you at any moment.
No one informed us about any of this in advance. We traveled all the way to the hotel expecting to enjoy all the park attractions, especially considering how expensive the stay was.
On top of that, we were not able to enjoy the surf area either because the entire schedule was fully booked.
The bathrooms did not have body wash or hand soap, and the shampoo and conditioner were extremely limited. The air conditioning was not cooling properly, and we had to move the children into our bed because they were sweating too much.
I travel all around Florida and stay at hotels with lower ratings, and at least they provide coffee pods and tea bags to make guests feel at home. It may not seem like a big deal, but small details like that can really make your day better."
