"The place has potential to be nice but these were the issues we experienced:
Broken TV in room 1. No maintenance staff was able to repair for 6 hours so we switched to another room.
Uncensored “quiet time” hours. We literally had groups of teens screaming in the hallway outside our room from 12AM to 2AM
Unstated 22% gratuity added to bar tab. I normally tip a minimum of 25% but hate it when you aren’t verbally informed when the bill is handed over. I can understand for large parties or large bills, this was two drinks. I caught it on the receipt, my wife did not when she paid.
Weird questions by staff. One staff member asked me multiple times if I was rich, which, when you’re traveling and staying in a room that others have access to, is a bit of a red flag to me. It wasn’t after hours of conversation, it was pretty much right off the bat when I said I had owned a lot of tv’s and had never been outsmarted by one before.
The lazy river side walk up bar wasn’t open which in itself isn’t a huge problem but you need your key card to get through to the other side of the divider to get to the other bar so it’s not as relaxing as it could be.
The lazy river had a green algae strip all the way around it toward where the vertical wall hit the bottom. It needed to be scrubbed properly.
The worst part:
2 cockroaches in the 2nd room the second night leading to me not sleeping at all. Yes I have photos and video of it. I was grossed out and really bothered by it."
