We didn't really go outside the hotel but it's a busy place, quite dirty but nothing unusual for the Philippines outside the big cities. Didn't really stop in Ormoc other than travelling to and from the hotel.

Vel was the best, was just a quick last minute stop over. But the property manager was amazing. Even drove us then picked us up after a nice restaurant dinner at a fantastic place you would never know without her recommendation.

Our favorite place to stay in the Tacloban area. The staff is always wonderful and the restaurant downstairs is great. If you don’t want to be in the city, this is the perfect place.
