"I recently stayed at the Moxy Virginia Beach location with my best friend and her family. The trip was planned last minute to celebrate my besties birthday and also her beginning an intensive cancer treatment immediately upon our return home. I told the front desk staff the reason for our stay and requested if they could help by setting up my friend's room to celebrate her birthday and her recent cancer battle. Meagan went above and beyond and set up her room with champagne, treats, and some decorations. This meant to world to my friend and really brightened up our stay. Meagan went up above and beyond and I hope this letter of acknowledgement is well received. She deserves whatever awards and accolades you all offer your employees. Something so every day like a celebration of a birthday was more of a celebration of life and that small gesture meant a lot. Thank you to Meagan and the entire Moxy staff you all did an amazing job to ensure we had an amazing stay. Looking forward to coming back in the future to celebrate again. "

"While there were areas of the ceiling in our room that had water damage, overall this hotel was super! Bed was very comfortable, room was overall clean, lots of garbage cans, breakfast was terrific, staff was terrific, someone was always cleaning. I would definitely stay there again!"

"The very friendly and helpful staff make the stay! Balconies are semi private but hey you get to meet your neighbor. Indoor pool is heated but the heat could be turned up more. Fresh fruit water in the lobby! Comfy beds and soft towels. "

"Cheap place close to the beach. They do NOT clean the rooms, make the bed, provide clean towels every day. Have to track down person from office for anything. Loud people constantly. No hangers/rod for clothes. No wastebasket!"

"There was a nice view of the beach and boardwalk. There was no closet. Nowhere to hang clothes. The cable service on the tv didn't work. Called the front desk 3 times over 2 days. Was not resolved. The room phone didn't work either. The lobby and hallways were in poor condition. Front desk didn't have enough help in the evening. Staff was pleasant but unable to get tv to work. Only solution was a new remote without batteries. Woukd NOT recommend this hotel. "
