Decapolis Hotel Panama City

"My son and I stayed one night at the Decapolis Hotel, and while the property itself is impressive, the overall experience was mixed. The hotel is immaculately clean, centrally located, and offers great views of the city. We enjoyed the modern amenities, including the large pool, glass elevator, and the convenient skywalk that connects directly to a shopping center. Unfortunately, the service did not match the quality of the facilities. Staff members were curt and unhelpful, and when we asked questions, we were often shrugged off or redirected without explanation. Other guests were assisted while we were ignored, which left a negative impression. The hotel’s open‑lobby design also created a major issue: an event took place late into the night, and the noise carried all the way up to the rooms. We weren’t able to sleep until it ended past midnight. Check‑in was another challenge. Tour groups arrived at the same time, and although two staff members were present, only one was willing to check us in. The other employee was checking in random guests but refused to assist us, pointing us toward the long tour‑group line instead. Checkout, however, was quick and easy. Overall, the hotel has excellent facilities and a great location, but the service and noise issues significantly impacted our stay."

"Enjoyed my stay. The resort is nice and well worth the price. Do not trust GPS if you are driving. it is two hours north of Panama City. Make sure you go past the Rio Hato airport then two left turns to Playa Blanca. From there it is easy to find. Staff was helpful. The pools are nice with good options including a nice kiddie pool with slides. Food and drink was good. Three specialty restaurants and a main buffet style for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Enjoyed my stay."
