"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel - and I let the reception staff know how much we liked it on checking out. The beds were comfortable, the shower was efficient and it was good to have two chairs in the room to relax in. I particularly liked the breakfast buffet. No hot dishes but that was fine with me. Nice breads, cereals, cold meats and fruit. I don't understand, though, why hotels in Spain (of all places!) don't have grapes in the buffet. Nicely located too away from the biz but...

"This is a fantastic little B&B. The lady running the place was ever so friendly, helpful and patient with our efforts to communicate in Spanish. Each room has its own private entrance, so you feel like you have your privacy. Although there's no air conditioning, you can manage the summer temperatures somewhat by keeping the shutters down and the windows cracked open. "The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great and the restaurant gave a few options but all very reasonable and very tasty. The beds are very comfortable, even the sofa bed was comfy. The staff were all very helpful polite and made the stay a pleasant experience. Would definitely stay here again."

"The accommodation was clean and comfortable with a very welcome ceiling fan cooling the temperature. We were arriving late (then my flight was delayed further) and were asked to check in online before 11.00pm but this was complicated and wouldn't work for me. But all was well and there was someone on duty at reception to check us in. Helpful and friendly reception staff. Good location - easy walk into town/waterfront and plenty of buses nearby. Only negative was very limited cooking equipment and absence of cloths for wiping/cleaning. A kettle, cups/mugs and wiping cloths would have helped."

"The Citrea is a lovely hotel in Santander. A short walk from the Modern Art Museum (not the Botin Centre) and the town hall and the bus station, through the tunnel. Having been to Santander we knew this wasn't far so no issues. The room was cozy, but had plenty of storage cupboards. The air conditioning was absolutely needed in the heat of the summer, would go again just for this. The staff were fantastic, supporting us with every ask and arranged a late checkout on our departure day."
