"We arrived on an early morning flight and luckily our room was ready when we got to the hotel. The room was immaculate and very comfortable. Our check-in was seamless and we were made to feel welcome. Because of the short time we were in Scotland we didn't have an opportunity to dine in the hotel. The complimentary snacks and drinks in the room was a nice touch. Our in-room cooler didn't keep the drinks chilled, but that was the only negative to the entire stay. The location is wonderful! We roamed all over Old Town and getting an Uber was a breeze if we wanted to venture further. If we have an opportunity to visit Scotland again this is definitely our home base."

"Beautiful hotel with pristine rooms. Abundant luxury in-room amenities (robes, slippers, coffee, tea, and lots more). Great location close to bus station, train station, and multiple restaurants. The staff were friendly, professional, and efficient. Seamless login to wifi. Was able to stream from my device to TV with no technical issues. Never had to wait more than 5 seconds for an elevator. I love that it was actually possible to open the window too! (just a few inches, but enough to get fresh air). Thanks for a terrific stay!"

"Hotel is in good location 100 meters from train station and very central to Edinburgh Although the hotel is undergoing maintenance at the time of writing this, it seems to be not too distracting. We had an evening meal which was fine, but the choice limited, they claimed due to being out of season Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice for all types of tastes including cook to order omelettes, which could probably do with another station as the only one working was popular Room and bathroom was fine, we were on 6th floor, but did not hear any noises during the night, so had a good sleep All in all I would happily recommend this hotel "

"It’s a great location and the kitchen is fully equipped. The room is spacious. Value for money in view of the hotel price in the area. A few small issues: pillows are quite high for me and the staff said there’s no other option; the hot water in the shower was not very hot; the pots, pan, and tea tower were not cleaned properly. "

"Breakfast limited in choice. To be eaten in the pub. A varied vegetarian choice would be good. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Window not sealing properly in room, letting in noise and cold draught."
