"Payson is a wonderful little getaway from the Phoenix metro and valley. Our room was clean and sheets and pillows were nice and soft. The A/C unit worked quite well. I perhaps stress those a bit more than I do the one at home as I like to be cool and it held its own great. Front office staff when we arrived and in the morning were very nice. Breakfast was okay. I try to be nice, but also I know I was looking for some kind of review on breakfast as it is my second favorite thing after getting away from the monotony of life for a minute. I think some of breakfast could have been cooked a bit longer, but there were a wide array of options from eggs, hash brown patties, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy. Several assortments of breads and bagels. Cereal was an option. Fruit cups. Orange juice. Coffee. Waffle maker with timer (I thought you just had to guess on those things, heh.). The breakfast lady on staff was nice though and it was nice to see several other families wrapping up the tail end of their visits. And the weather, I know it isn’t something the hotel controls, but it was so beautiful up there in mid May and the temps still get down to 50’s overnight. But because of the weather and pines on site, it felt like a home away from home and we did not want to leave. I’d say 8/10 overall, with breakfast losing a point for me and any vacation losing a point because they all have to end. Bleh.
Thank you for a good experience."
