The owner, the girl managing the front desk, told us everything we need to know, where to eat, where to shop, what activities are good, where to park, and more. "Samaragdi Hotel was an absolute pleasure to stay at. Friendly staff, clean rooms and less than 2 minute walk to the beach. They can assist booking excursions such as the Santorini volcano boat tour, which I highly recommend. I was upgraded to a pool view suite and it was stunning. They do not offer breakfast, but with so many options nearby, it’s not a problem. I would absolutely stay here again!"
"Regardless of the transport being a challenge and very pricey (specifically the taxis), the whole atmosphere of Santorini was beautiful and we felt so welcomed. Many things we needed were a walking distance away so that was extremely helpful: including the beach which was only a 2 minute walk for us. "We had a fantastic stay at the Veggera Hotel. It's in a beautiful location, right on the seafront. It was so easy to get from our room to the sunbeds on the beach - it only took a minute! It was the first time we'd ever encountered a beach with black sand - and of all the beaches on Santorini this is definitely the best! The room and whole hotel complex was tastefully designed in white and blue Cycladic colours, and the selection of food at the restaurant was largely excellent. There's also a nice selection of shops to visit for souvenirs and, if you fancy a challenge, walk up to Ancient Thera from the hotel. It's not for the faint-hearted and will take about 45-60 mins in total, but it's well worth the trek! We would definitely come again and will be sure to recommend the Veggera Hotel to our friends."
