"The twin room was spacious with a good en-suite, a fridge, coffee maker and kettle. There is a roof-terrace bar with excellent views of the City and cathedral which serves very good snacks. We didn't eat in the restaurant but it was busy when we walked by. The hotel is ideally situated in the centre of Gloucester, 5 minutes from the train station and the cathedral, 2minutes from the bus station and main shopping streets. It's about 10minutes to walk to the Quays. The staff were friendly and efficient."
"The room was clean and the staff were lovely but the hotel felt in need of an upgrade.
The table in the room was covered in cup rings that could not be removed. The walls had scuff marks, the shower lacked power and was pretty useless and the AC did not cool the room.
I had to request toilet roll for my second day as this was not replenished when the room was made."
"We chose this hotel because we were travelling for a wedding. Although the hotel itself was great, a couple of things let it down.
Before our stay, I called several times to ask about an early check-in and was told we would need to check on the day. When we arrived early, despite the hotel knowing our arrival time, we were told that no rooms were available for early check-in. While this wasn't the end of the world, when we asked if there was somewhere we could get changed before the wedding, we were directed to the disabled toilet. That wasn't an ideal experience when trying to get ready for such an important event.
Once we eventually checked in, the air conditioning in our room wasn't very effective, so the room became extremely hot. We were also told that our stored luggage would be taken up to our room, but this never happened.
Despite these issues, we had a pleasant stay overall. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the staff were generally friendly. We would stay here again, but hope these areas can be improved."
"Lovely clean spacious room, staff were lovely. Plenty of room on carpark.
Only downside is the breakfast was a bit pricey so we didn't choose to have breakfast there. Also room didn't get serviced in our three days stay.
But would definatley stay there again."
"Breakfast was a bit hit and miss, being shown to a table which wasn’t ready or cleared on both mornings. The first morning, no one actually came and cleared the table so we had to find one ourselves!"
