The facilities at Green Bay were as advertised and great, but the service was unfortunately underwhelming compared to similar quality resorts across Southeast Asia. Here were a few issues we had:
1. Subpar English: We had issues on numerous occasions trying to communicate with staff in English. While we don't expect the junior staff to be fluent, trouble communicating with the front desk made day-to-day tasks much more difficult.
2. Strict cutoff times: We checked in at roughly 3:30pm and was given a tour of the room and facilities. During the tour, the front desk guide told us that tea time runs from 3:00pm to 4:00pm, to which we remarked that we had better get going. He didn't seem to quite understand and continued the tour up until 3:55pm, in which we hurried over to the restaurant. When we got there at 4:00pm exactly, there was a spread of cakes still available, but the staff told us that tea time was over. We were really tired and hungry, so we argued back and forth for them to eventually let us have the leftover cakes and a cup of coffee.
3. Infrequent shuttle: The Green Bay offers a shuttle to downtown, but the times it leaves are predetermined by the resort and sometimes doesn't have a return shuttle. We ended up using Grab for all of our transportation needs.
