"Stayed for 3 days with my family Very clean room and we love the breakfast"

"This hotel has a lot of positives, great location, friendly staff, great breakfast buffet. The hotel is steps away from the central train station. A very busy area, however with windows closed our room was very quiet. Our main negative, we booked the Executive room with canal view. The description says it sleeps 4, however our room was very small with only 1 chair. I had to go down to guest services twice to get another chair sent up. The description on the website showed a loveseat. Our room was so small, there was no room for a loveseat hardly enough to walk around with the 2 chairs. Definitely the website and the room we booked did not match the room we were given. We were very dissapointed!! "

"Great location very close to the train station, room was a fun setup for 4 people at the very top of the building and had a beautiful view of the area. Room and the lobby were all very clean and it was nice have an elevator that at least got us up to the 3rd floor lol"

"The location was excellent. Quiet area on the canal. Charming building. Room was very clean but super tiny. The room was barely large enough to fit the bed. It was rather claustrophobic. Barely enough room to walk around the sides of the bed. Bathroom was tiny as well. But canal views were lovely."

"A relatively small frontage hides a large open reception, bar and garden area. Polite and friendly front of house. We had a classic room, which while small (as we knew when booking), managed to pack in a soft banquette area, fridge, table, safe and some nice lighting options. Complimentary tea, Nespresso and water. A large sliding screen in front of the window kept the room really dark at night. Our sink was open to the room, while the shower and WC had frosted glass doors. If you are shy, not brilliant, but you can switch up the lighting for privacy."

"Die Port van Cleve was overall a nice spot to stay in a central location in a very busy Amsterdam. Couple of points: The photos on the website are a bit deceptive. The standard king room we had was VERY small, even by European standards. The bed was large and comfortable. The bath was VERY small. It required a large step up to get in...not for those with sore knees. The first two days of our stay were during Kings Day. We did not get to sleep until 2am when the bar down the street stopped the nasty thump soundtrack Other nights were fine with some expected city noise. Staff was very friendly. The pub, De Blouwe Parade was a very nice historic spot with incredible delf tiles. They have some beer, minimal wine, but excellent hand drafted cocktails. Passionate bar owner and staff. They open at 4 and have a small snack and pub food menu. We were surprised there is no sign or tie with the Lobby...just a door with a stained-glass window. I suspect many travelers don't know it's there. There was a good restaurant next door, but they made it hard to take advantage of it. Breakfast was available for 27 Euro...and very basic for Europe. They did not allow you to sit and have a cup of coffee. There is a very small area and bar you could sit and have coffee but not advertised.... they did not seem to welcome that service. The restaurant was always packed for lunch and dinner...reservations recommended. There is a coffee shop on the corner that opens at 9:00 kind of...sometimes 9:30."

"I don't normally leave reviews, however, I was incredibly impressed by all of the staff and accommodations of this hotel. Overall stay was 10/10. Great location"
