"The check-in was kinda troublesome because i did not get the code for me to check in. they said they have sent it. when we arrived at the area, there was no internet. However, even if it was difficult to get the code, you can reach the host easily via call. and able to accommodate us with the codes and all. Overall, it was a nice and clean place. Everything is available in the room. Will definitely recommend this place!"

"The Casa team made the dream come alive! Our room was impeccable, the concierge team went above and beyond helping us coordinate our stay, meals, and excursions. The BEST massage- we did a couples Oceanic bundle and was totally worth it. The food is so fresh and prepared with heart! Shoutouts to a few faves - Errol, Cesar, Vanessa, the Marias (there are a couple!), Marlon, and of course our very favorite…GLEN!! Very grateful for the care we received and to really feel the PURA VIDA…all around. The views and rooms are almost as stunning as the people here. And, definitely splurge if you can for the rooms with a pool. Totally worth seeing those sunsets from the privacy of your own pool deck. Thank you and hope to come back soon. Pura Vida!"

The Coast Beachfront Hotel

"My husband and I stayed for 8 nights in the middle of October, 2026. Our stay at The Coast in Tamarindo was our best vacation in 10 years! It was our first time in Costa Rica. We always do a beach vacation, but we were looking for something with more activities this time. The Coast has its own surf instructor and surf board rentals on its property, which was massively convenient. The area right in front of this hotel is coveted surfing real estate, so the location could not be more prime. We showed up right at the tail end of the surf season, at the end of the rainy season, also before the area started to swell with visitors for the high tourism time of year. It was perfect! Even if you don’t want to surf, it’s wonderful sitting in the beach chairs and watching others do it. The pool was plenty big for us and the temperature was perfect. The beach is beautiful and great for walking - unlike some other places (such as Cabo, where there is a steep incline). The staff were all very kind - specifically Diejan was our favorite! He was genuinely excited to see us and talk to us every day. He was also very organized and prepared to give us info about our airport transfer, breakfast order, etc. The room had a small dehumidifier in it, which made a huge difference for us. The kitchen was stocked with all the necessary dishes, appliances, etc. We were thrilled with our experience!"

"A short hour+ drive from Liberia. Bahia del Sol was a pleasant surprise. A very quiet beach with restaurants, bars, and other amenities within walking distance. The grounds are beautiful. We were there in the rainy season but it was fine. Arrival day it rained most of the afternoon and evening. The next day it rained in the evening, but we got 3 solid days of sunshine and breezes. Parking is a bit tight, but we always got a spot. Free breakfast each morning, although the selection was limited. I suspect they'd have made us most anything we wanted. The staff was wonderful. So friendly and helpful. This is our 4th time to the pacific coast, Samara, Tamarindo twice, and Potrero. We liked this one the best, it was so quiet, although that may have been mainly due to the time of year. I think there were only half a dozen or so occupied rooms. I'd actually go back during the rainy season again!"
