The property is historical and I loved it. Being old I didn't expect the nice newer shower and everything was so clean. Check in and check out was very easy and all the staff I encountered were so kind.

Staff is great. Rooms showed a little wear (air conditioner vent needed to be taped up position, rugs/mats had curled up edges (tripping hazzard)) but overall pleasant stay.

Our stay at Pioneertown Motel was truly special. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. They even went out of their way to help us with a small inconvenience during our stay, which made us feel genuinely cared for. The entire experience felt like stepping into the real Old West. Every detail was thoughtfully designed and perfectly in place, from the decor to the little touches in the room. We even had a guitar in our room, which made the experience feel even more authentic and unique. One of our favorite moments was when the staff showed us the best spot to see the stars at night. Sitting under that incredible desert sky was unforgettable. Everything about this place felt intentional, authentic, and beautifully done. It was exactly the kind of romantic desert getaway we were hoping for. We absolutely loved our stay and would happily come back.

Quaint property. Clean room with everything you could need. There were even camping chairs so you could go out at night and stargaze. Only suggestion is to try and get a room on the backside of the motel. Car headlights were super bright (woke us up) and the curtains were very thin.

Love this place! It’s is full of charm, welcoming, comfortable, and right next to the old west town and within about 30 min to West Joshua Tree gate. The staff are friendly and helpful. The canteen is stocked with coffee, tea, and water. Will absolutely stay here again.

It was HOT during our visit, but the grounds, staff, and room were amazing. We had some little critters as guests in our room, but nothing desert life doesn’t prepare you for. Staff were notified and all was well. The air conditioner was working very hard to keep up with 3-digit plus weather, but the room was so nice. It was quiet. We sat outside after Beats Antique was at Pappy & Harriet’s, and stargazed and took in the Milky Way. Wonderful stay. Would love to come back during every season. Red Dog Saloon served Mean Gene’s iced coffee and that was heaven and easily walkable, too! Thank you!!!

This is my third time staying here and I love it every time. We have always lucked out with getting a room here when going to see a show at Pappy and Harriet’s. It’s the best way to do it. The rooms are always great and the staff if always very nice. I’ll definitely be staying here more.

I was traveling with my daughter and this was our first visit to Joshua Tree national park. We both enjoyed our stay. My daughter loved the hammocks outside the rooms. We were able to do some star gazing from the motel grounds as well. The AC was too loud and we turned it off. Before coming we were a bit worried about safety, but we found the area and the motel safe.
