Planet Hollywood Costa Rica by Royalton, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort
10/10 Excellent
"We stayed at Planet Hollywood Costa Rica for six days during the first week of June 2026, and our experience was outstanding from start to finish.
The resort is beautiful, the food was excellent, and the staff consistently went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for throughout our stay. Every interaction was warm, professional, and genuine.
We would especially like to recognize Christian, “The Godfather,” and Diana, “Wonder Woman,” for making our vacation truly memorable. Their exceptional service, positive attitudes, and attention to detail made a lasting impression on us. They are a tremendous asset to the resort.
Thank you to the entire Planet Hollywood team for an amazing vacation. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be back!"
"Overall I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this resort as I would go back. There are some pros and cons to the resort.
Pros: I love that they refill the mini bar everyday with drinks to include water, soda, beer. Housekeeping was fantastic. The speciality restaurants were top notch. Breakfast was great. They do provide shuttle any where you need to go on the resort as some rooms are quite a walk up some steep hills. Very secure and safe resort. Pools and view were amazing.
Cons: They do not provide wash cloths so I would recommend bringing your own or asking for additional hand towels. They give you a card for a swimming towel that's $35 for a mediocre quality towel. You must turn in your towel to get the card back or be charged for that towel. So if you have room in your luggage I would suggest just bringing your own. The lunch and dinner buffet did not have great variety everyday however they do have a snack bar for your unhealthy choices for lunch till about 6pm. I think they should have theme nights for the dinner and lunch buffets. While its all inclusive the drinks were very low quality and no well known drinks. I just ordered the mix drinks for the most part. While the pool vibe was so amazing at night, it closes at 7 pm. Every where I have traveled pools are open till at least 9-11pm at night. The beach area was not spectacular at all, probably the worst have seen. No ATM. My last complaint was there was no late food options so after 930 or 10 thats it."
"We had a great time, staff is beyond helpful and genuine to help when needed.
We stayed in a Villa with our own private balcony, Lovely 102A.
Kids loved it.
Definitely coming back."
The Westin Reserva Conchal, an All-Inclusive Golf Resort & Spa
8/10 Good
"Thé property is on the beach and the beach is not well maintained. The property is wide spread and the nature is beautiful. Many animals are roaming around and birds and monkeys are enjoying the trees. The restaurants are ok. Service is good. The food is ok nothing spectacular. Just adequate. Some restaurants you have to make reservations on the same day and reservations open up at 8 am. Very inconvenient during vacation to worry about reservation line opening at 8 am . Few minutes after 8 all he spots are booked. Definitely bad experience. All restaurants are closed between 3 and 5:30 pm expect the room service that takes 45 minutes to deliver the food limited menu. Since the property is very far from the town there are no other options. Very inconvenient during vacation to not have access to food. There is a take out Italian that you can get pizza or cesar salad only but again you have to wait and take the food to go . Paying for all inclusive option but getting pizza and Cesar salad between hours of 3 to 6 pm is false advertising. Guests at a almost 5 stars resort shouldn’t be treated like college cafeteria.
Rooms are ok nothing fancy. Dark rooms with limited space. The grounds are walkable but dark at night since the lighting is very low not pleasant evening strolls. Overall felt like we are doing times at a facility rather than an exotic vacation in a resort. Tours are limited also and they play games with the hours paid and actual time you get . Won’t recommend."
"This is not a 4-star resort as advertised. The room was dirty, the toilet leaked so it refilled every 10 minutes, the fan made a lot of noise and kept waking us up. One of the worst nights of sleep we have had in a hotel. The property was not maintained well. My wife found a bug crawling in the buffet food. We only stayed 12 hours at the resort and then left. We need a refund because we had to move to another resort. The food was not up to the level of a 4-star resort, and the resort is not a 4-star resort as advertised"
"Beautiful scenery. The staff were friendly and attentive. Good local vibes. Pools were clean and in good order. Walking to beach. Excellent for the price. We will stay here again."
