"This was our second stay at Elfordleigh, set in beautiful grounds andvery convenient for plymouth yet you feel you are in the country. Food is lovely and plenty of it . Staff at Elfordleigh were very friendly and accommodating even letting us use new showers in the golf block after we checked out so we were refreshed fot the theatre show. Pool and spa area was also very good.Really enjoyed are stay and we will definitely be back"
"Perfect choice for budget stay. All amenities you would need without being over the top. Breakfast was enough without being over complicated. Good value for money. Staff friendly and helpful."
"Ideal for a one night stay, pretty basic but served the purpose. Owner was friendly, helpful and courteous. Parking voucher available for £10 on request."
"The picture advertised was not what was offered. The cleanliness was shocking, stains on duvets, towels, bed sheets and pillows - think bad and disgusting and you aren’t even close. Had 3 nights booked, left on day one. Poor health and safety with cables trailing across floors, screws in the carpet and a lighter found under a bed (I was with 4 kids, shocking).
Now. The park itself is nice and the properties there independently owned and operated - some looked lovely, we just got a poor...

The Grosvenor Plymouth
10/10 Excellent
"I really enjoyed my stay at the Grosvenor. I appreciated its history and the two lounges had comfy seating. It was a few minutes walk away from The Hoe where I enjoyed strolling and sitting on the benches looking out onto the water.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, as was the bathroom. I loved the deep bath. The bed was comfortable and the blackout curtains made the room nice and dark for sleeping.
Breakfast was delicious with many options. I highly recommend this hotel."
"We had a wonderful stay – the room was spacious and comfortable, with thoughtful complimentary toiletries provided. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice, and overall the service made our visit to Portsmouth really enjoyable. Would happily stay again!"
"Room was ready early and was spacious, clean, modern and comfortable.
The staff went out of their way to help us including finding a bowl for us to use as an ice bucket!
Towels were huge and luxurious.
Perfect night away with enough space and comfort to relax.
Brilliant location walking distance from the hoe and theatre. "
"We stayed in a premium sea view room which had plenty of room for 2 adults, 1 child (who was very pleased to have a whole sofa bed to herself!) and a baby. Baby cot was set up as requested on our arrival.
Hotel was clean and comfortable. The pool was really nice and good temperature. We enjoyed a few free bits and pieces from the lounge bar - including milk for baby bottle (very handy).
Location was perfect - right next to the hoe, with a Tesco express shop just round the corner.
The only tiny thing was that the travel cot was very firm/hard - we added a towel underneath the sheet (baby 18 months) and she slept fine.
Overall a great experience and we would definitely return!"
"Lovely room very clean and tidy. Beds very comfortable and bathroom lovely too. Zero complaints here had a lovely stay. Also enjoyed the complimentary tea and coffee and use of the fridge and safe "
"Didn't like repeated auto emails asking for self check in and credit card details for incidentals.
Didn't like silly health and safety window locks that didn't allow airflow into room. Fans are not at all adequate on hot days. I wonder where health and safety stands if one faints due to the heat on hot days or the risk or access if there is a fire.
I did like that reception staff was very helpful to find me another room on the cooler side of the building.
TVs need upgrading to Smart TVs. "
