"Communication from both the property and Expedia was very poor. Note that you will have to make a bank transfer (NOT email transfer, cash, visa, or anything else) to complete the booking. "The check-in and staff were great. Super cheerful and nice. The room, bring ear plugs. I didn't realize the "mountain view" also means all the rooms face the street and its just noisy because its the main street into town. The windows/door sound like its cracked open because it was so loud to me. (and if your sensitive to light, bring an eyemask too, the triangle window at the top has no curtain) Breakfast was 13E per person and it quaint. Eggs and sausage made to order. (sausage means hot dogs by the way) The use of the sauna was an extra 14E per person. The free bus into town is right outside. The little lake is right next to the hotel (but its frozen right now) and its just about an 8 min walk to the bigger lake strba pleso! "

"We had a great stay at the Kempinski High Tatrus. This hotel had an established, genuinely 5 star feel. It knows what it is, and delivers brilliantly. The setting is outstanding, with a frozen lake and snow on the ground, but we didn’t see a cloud in 4 days. The service is great, and the breakfast generous. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable; there is a pillow and duvet menu… all in a great stay. "

"Absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Szlakami 5 Dolin. The view is beautiful. The apartment was perfect. We arrived late so there wasn’t anyone at the reception but we received all the info before we arrived and had a smooth check in. We tried the Sauna one evening and it was good. The staff were lovely. It was clean. The bed was comfortable. There is no housekeeping service which was abit of let down. It is far out from central and no transport closeby. It is great if you have a car. Otherwise, it will have to be a taxi to central. We didn’t try the breakfast so can’t comment on that. Overall good stay."
