This was our fourth year at the White Sands, and every time is just as great as the first time we came, if not better. The pools and surrounding area is kept up very nicely and the private beach access directly in front of the property makes it well worth the money. The rooms are kept up well and very spacious. We are already looking forward to booking our stay next year.

We paid for an ocean front apartment and ended up with with a noisy, dated pool view. Spoke to two different managers at the hotel and basically got the oh well we are booked we can’t help you: this was not true. We come here every year from Sparta lake Mohawk nj: this sadly was our last stay.

My son and I arrived on a Saturday for the evening, we showed up around 11 am and was told we can do pre check in at 12 so we went and walked around came back at 12, got our room number but said that our room wasn’t ready yet, guaranteed to be ready by 4. I went to see where the room was located, found it and looked in the window, the room was ready, we saw house keeping and they told us it’s ready to go, we went and picked up some stuff at the store, went back to the check in desk around 2 they told us it still wasn’t ready so we disappeared for a few more hours until we showed back up at 420 and they finally let us in the room. Other than that it was clean, spacious, easy to find and a great location. I’ve stayed there before and I’ll stay there again;

Upon arrival we were informed the computers were "down". the front desk attendant Anna was extremely calm thought out the process with many people wanting to register. We were under the impression our reservation was to stay at the Hotel not across the street at the Motel. That was disappointing. The convenience of access to the beach was good, but still would have preferred to "Hotel". Why were we not informed of this when making reservations?? Having to pay "Hotel" price and stay in the motel should have been a different amount.

We stay here multiple times every summer and this was the first time we had problems. The tv in our room did not work and neither did most of the outlets. We were awake half the night because the lightbulbs in the ceiling weren’t fitted correctly and rattled constantly. My other big issue was that the hotel bar and also the restaurant were not open, but the woman at the desk said they no longer operate it themselves. The pools, the location, and the staff are still wonderful as always. Just disappointed this time around.

The staff at this hotel were very kind and the rooms were reasonably nice. However, I did experience some issues with bugs in the room.. including in my bed, all over the ceiling and even a cockroach in the bathroom toilet. While the hotel itself isn’t in bad shape, these unexpected visitors did affect my overall comfort. It’s really frustrating to come home exhausted from a trip only to have to unpack my bags outside and rush to a laundromat out of concern about bringing roaches into my home. We kindly confronted the staff about the issue while checking out and we were told the manager would be reaching out shortly. We were never contacted. I can confidently say we will never be back!

Very disappointed in this years stay. 5/9/25 We stayed in room #331 which was right below all the air conditioning units so the room vibrated all night and I got no sleep. Hot tub was closed for maintenance and the hotel bar was closed. So, all the reasons we loved to stay at this place were unavailable. I did mention to the from desk that I was unhappy with our room and she offered an apology. We will be looking for a new place to stay next time.
