"Excelent host! People at the property very friendly. Not convenient for transportation nor affordable dinning. For people accustomed with the Napoli litoral/Amalfi coatt this is a pretty good place to stay and go to nearby villages. Not a good vacation beach place. Very busy for the month of May."

"Loved this hotel! Great location if you have a vehicle. Take a day trip to the Amalfi Coast, by ferry or car. Short trip to see the amazing Greek Temples at Paestum. Great price and value. Very clean room, included Buffet breakfast was amazing, great Cappucino’s. Kudos to Mario! Very friendly and courteous staff. Great restaurant! Bed was comfortable. Large balcony with beautiful pool & sea view. Beach is located across the street. The area is going through a transformation, so you have to be able to look beyond that. The only negatives for us, would be the hard pillows."

"We booked the Grand Hotel Excelsior to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary — our first trip without our three young children. Unfortunately, due to back-to-back medical emergencies (a serious spinal injury requiring treatment for me and a car accident leaving my wife with a broken toe), we needed to discuss our options with the hotel. Over a three-week period, I called multiple times and sent over 10 messages through email and Hotels.com. The hotel never responded to a single one. When I managed to get someone on the phone, I was told they could not speak with me and to send an email — emails they never answered. Hotels.com also attempted to contact them on our behalf for 14 consecutive days with no response. I was not demanding a refund. I was simply asking to have a conversation — to discuss a possible date change, to understand accessibility and accommodation options given our injuries, and to explore any flexibility. They refused to engage at all. I understand that non-refundable policies exist. What I do not understand is a hotel that will not communicate with its paying guests under any circumstances. No acknowledgment. No response. No effort whatsoever. We lost over $1,000 on a reservation at a hotel that could not be bothered to return a single message in three weeks. For a property that markets itself as a luxury experience, the complete lack of customer service was shocking. Hotels.com also said that their hotels are allowed to fully ignore customers. Tread light"

"the hotel was modern and very clean, the room was outstanding with King size bed for my wife and I and a day bed for my son separated by a half wall complete with a walk in shower and a great balcony over looking the sea, and the town of Positano. the rooftop pool is huge with a bar and spectacular views. the free breakfast was a must have and very fresh the restaurant on site is really good one of the best restaurants in the area the location is right in the middle between Positano and Amalfi in beautiful Praiano the owner Carmella was seen daily at the hotel greeting guests. the town offers many restaurants and a couple of small grocery stores much quieter than the other surrounding towns. you can catch the Sita bus just up the street to visit other locations visiting the beach will require walking down about 400 steps how ever you will run into a small cafe over looking the sea call Mirante about quarter way down "great place for drinks""

"Great pool, breakfast and staff. Staff were very responsive prior to our visit and helped book a dinner reservation for my partner’s birthday. They also delivered cake to our table at breakfast that morning without asking. Absolutely incredible view! Perhaps one of the best in Ravello. Pool area does get covered by shade late afternoon/early evening. Room was a little shabby, towels very thin so had to be changed daily, and toiletries provided were adequate only."

"The most wonderful hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Room cleaned whilst you’re eating your gourmet breakfast, amazing views, swimming pool (a rarity in Positano) and two restaurants. It’s the staff who make this place so special - welcome you like a long lost family member and think of everything. Adamo ed Eva is a world class restaurant with 5 star food and service. You’ll never want to leave and you’ll go back time and again"
