"We loved our stay at this property. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming. They provided us with a delicious dinner on out first night and waking up to breakfast each morning was such a treat. Everything is home made and fresh! I also had a lovely massage which I would highly recommend. "We had a fantastic stay at the Hôtel de France in Bergerac and couldn't recommend it more highly. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel completely at home. Special mention must go to the gentleman who checked us in — he was friendly, helpful and welcoming from the very first moment, nothing was too much trouble, and he gave us brilliant tips on the local area. It's rare to receive such a genuinely warm welcome, and it set the tone for our whole stay. The rest of the staff were equally lovely — always smiling, always happy to help, and clearly proud of their hotel. The room was comfortable and spotless, and the location is perfect for exploring Bergerac's beautiful old town, just a short stroll away. We left feeling like we'd been looked after by friends rather than staff. We'll definitely be back — thank you to the whole team, and especially to the gentleman on reception!"
