Best Western, Port Douglas Hinterlands hotels

We spent 3 nights at this lovely place last week, which was towards the end of wet season. The rainy, windy weather made this picturesque little place so romantic for my husband and myself. The staff was always cheerful, friendly and more than helpful. The room was clean and the blue and white theme was really pretty. The kitchenette was sufficiently stocked. Well appointed and cheery rooms. Good amenities and excellent, A+ location

We spent 5 days at the Paradise Links resort and truely had a great time here. Its a self serviced resort so you might feel a bit difference as there is literally little presence of the resort staffs but their communication and guidances were very clear via emails and letter upon our arrival. We arrived late so we had a self-check in, with a surprise note from the manager that our two bed-room apartment was upgraded to three bed villa. Great from start. Rooms are spacious and clean. Comfy and clean - a bit out of town but with a hire car that was no problem and gave us better value. Everything we needed and lovely pool too for a quick dip at the end of a busy day of sightseeing. Helpful and friendly owners.

Big room and great location

Very friendly staff and charming hotel. The rooms were large and comfortable with updated bathrooms. Our room was perfectly located facing the back. The rooms facing the courtyard/pools may be more noisy. The hotel is ideally located.

On all accounts an excellent stay. Exceeded my expectations

3 nights at the Shantara in Port Douglas. Very good location - within walking distance to the places relevant to tourists. Very clean and comfortable room and quiet - it was well-furnished and well-decorated - made the stay a real pleasure.

Everything was great. Would prefer check out 12:00 non instead of 10:00am.

nice and comfortable stay, with friendly staff. However, its 5-10 mins drive outside Port Douglas city centre, so may be tricky if you don't have a car. Also, wifi not the best on offer

Let me start off by saying that we had a wonderful stay at the Mantra PortSea. The staff at the Mantra PortSea were fantastic. The apartment was clean and big enough for our family of five. We had the sofa bed converted to a bed for our stay. We had a small kitchen that meant we were regular visitors to Coles to buy some food and drink for our stay. The lack of on-site restaurant/kitchen was a bit of a pain point. The Lagoon Bar was open from 12pm-5pm but only serves fries and deep fried...
