"The small home was a very comfortable base for the coastal path. The town of Port Isaac is just a walk downhill. The market is practically around the corner."

"Superb location, metres from the slipway and harbour. Close to costal footpath and walk to Port Gaverne, restaurant, pubs and cafes.
Very cosy cottage with wood burner.
A few minor things like no fridge light, a few cobwebs but nothing to put anyone off.
Well equipped kitchen and rear shared courtyard.
I would return!

"So much character! Clean room, very friendly staff, great bar lucky to catch live music sea shanties no less.
Breakfast was excellent and fresh, location exceptional."
"We arrived early, but found it hard to find parking, as there was day visitors.. so we headed to the bar, plenty of seating, along with amazing views, very clean and such friendly kind staff. We decided to have lunch, with glass views, and a glass of wine, and a massive toasted sandwich/ salad/ chips. We could of shared, well presented, super tasty, amazing quality. Then took a walk to the beach, a little narrow, but not difficult, you're find a shop for essentials, & beach shop, pub/ restaurant. The room we had was land view, [ carpark ]no noises, the room was big & double shower, amazing size, nice & hot with pressure. We booked the o go. Lovely restaurant, stunning views, candle light, consistency with everything. Informative with food ingredients, where it comes from, & of the land, we had risotto as I'm a veggie, so 1 option for me, omg, the best ive ever tasted. But the cost of 2 main meals, & bottle of wine was £ 115..so not cheap. The next day breakfast was amazing, lots of selection, if you require a fried breakfast, this cost is £6. Very tasty.. perfect. They have there own bakery, they do not disappoint. They cater for dietary needs. We pre booked a spa in for a massage. Amazing treatment, & issues with my shoulder, all sorted. We then had a sunday lunch, wow the best, plenty of it. This was £ 66 with 1 wine. There is a pool table, but a family there, seem to stay on it. ? All staff, are are lovely, friendly. "
"I really wanted to like the Camelot, and wasn’t expecting it to be high spec or anything, but was mostly really put off by two things: the bedding was quite scratchy, and the bathroom was a complete shock.
Pros: large family room, lovely sea view, staff were friendly and helpful on the few occasions I spoke to them, and when we had an issue with the bathroom they accommodated us by allowing us to use a bath in an empty room. Also lovely walks straight out the door and you can walk along the coastal path straight to Tintagel castle.
Cons: definitely tired, a bit more than I expected given the price. Charged £20 per dog per night but no idea what for as nothing was provided not even a dog bowl. The bed was lumpy and the linen was scratchy and I’m not normally sensitive to that sort of thing.
And finally the bathroom…we were in a classic family room, I’m not sure what the bathrooms are like in other room types but it was basically a caravan bathroom awkwardly plonked in the room, no chance of safely washing kids in there so I could not believe it was a family room. Thankfully as Expedia had stated it had a bath and shower they allowed us to go and use a bath on another room (the portable style bathroom had a toilet, a sink and a shower). It felt like something you get in a caravan / service station / student digs, NOT in a castle hotel where you’re paying £200+ per night.
The hotel should be honest with their guests and describe this appropriately, disappointed. "
"The room was lovely, with loads of extra touches. The actual inn is an amazing old historical building. The food was excellent and great choices. Great range of quality food and drink. Every member of staff we encountered was helpful and friendly. We have been to Jamaica Inn for visits before but never stayed. Would definitely stay there again. "
