This was an absolute wonderful experience for my family! The staff was excellent and they treated us like we were the only ones at the hotel! We will be planning another trip there not just because of the wonderful location, but mainly the friendly attitudes they showed towards us!! Thank you again!

We were expecting a typical UK b & b - tiny, minimal space et cetera. We were pleasantly surprised at the space. Alright, we had the attic room and we were continually ducking and twisting our heads to avoid celing beams, but we thought it added to the character of the place.

Room 11 should be cheaper
Great location, staff really friendly. Room really clean. However, we stayed in room 11 right at the very top of the building and it was cramped. For the room rate at the end of sept it seemed a bit expensive as far as we were concerned. That said, we had a quick look in one of the other rooms and they seemed much more spacious. Would go again, but would refuse room 11 next time.

We loved our 2 night stay - staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We stayed in the front terrace room and even though directly above the outdoor seating for the restaurant we had no problem with noise we actually kept our French doors open all night so we could hear the surf. Suggest you stay at least 2 full days in Port Isaac - it’s a different village when the tourists leave in the late afternoon. The shop keepers are so friendly- the ice cream at the “pharmacy” is yummy. Purchased a really nice hoodie sweater at a local shop (good quality, not tourist souvenir). Bottom line - we’ll be back

Slipway is Fantastic !!!
The Slipway is the only place to stay in Pt Isaac!! You are literally "on the beach", and in the middle of everything this charming village offers.Add to this that the staff is incredible !! The meals, especially the breakfast are fantastic. If you stay anyplace else in Pt Isaac, you are doing yourself a misservice.

Very relaxing stay.
It was unclear from hotel.com description that these rooms are above a pub although this was not a problem as apart from the early morning seagulls the room was very quiet. We were in room 11 which was lovely with its own sitting area, only problem was the low door which at 5’ 7 and 5’ 11 heights we kept hitting our heads on. The breakfast was excellent with a great choice of dishes and served by very friendly staff.Port Isaac is a beautiful villiage and these rooms are right in the centre of it.

Slipway in the heart of Port Isaac
Slipway is a restaurant which is also a hotel. A bit confusing at “check-in” as there is no front desk and you check in through the restaurant with the restaurant staff. This is fine, just different. Rooms are small, but you are in the center of the town, and it wasn’t a problem, except I kept bumping my head ad I entered the room. Anyone over six feet tall should be careful about that. Building is very old, but rooms are updated, although there was a definite tilt in my room (unlevel floor). Downside of the great location is a lot of noise coming from the people in the street below and those eating downstairs. Overall, a positive experience, very memorable, just be aware of the issues I mentioned.

Overall Very Good Holiday
Excellent food at all times, particularly the deluxe seafood platter (nearly too much even for me!) and a good choice of breakfasts. Staff very helpful and friendly and great view from room overlooking harbour. What could be improved? I thought £180 per night for a B & B was a bit steep, is this the Doc Martin effect, and I would have preferred a larger and more comfortable double bed but that's being very picky.

We had a lovely weekend. The staff were friendly and helpful. We booked into room 5 which overlooked the slipway and harbour. The room was clean, bed comfortable and room service was carried out each day. The breakfast was excellent and a Gluten Free options were available for my wife. Lunch and Dinner is available if required. Being the off season, the bar and restaurant closed early on the Sunday. Due to the location being surrounded by hills/cliffs, we were unable to receive a mobile phone signal at the Hotel. Did not bother us that much but others may be disappointed. There were plenty of local walks and Padstow is well worth a visit. Parking is in a public car park about a 10 minute walk away up the hill. We preferred to take the cliff top walk to it which was a bit easier. Cost of parking was £2.70 for a 24 Hour period. All in all it was well worth the visit.

Nearly there
Wehad a lovely night including an excellent dinner and breakfast. I was abit put off dining initially s the menus would be better suited in McDonalds and did not reflect the superb food that came. Others may be put off, don't be. The only other problem was the size of the shower. I am a large man and my wife had called asking about the room and its facilities because of this. Unfortunately no-one mentioned the size of the shower which I was unable to get into let alone out. Its not the Slipways fault, it would have been better to know in advance though. Apart from these two things, excellent.

A visit to the Doc!
we stayed 1 night whilst exploring a bit of the Cornwall Coast. The hotel is right in the centre of the village and we had a balcony room with views into the harbour. The room wasn't big but it is part of an authentic old hotel and was very clean and comfortable. The uneven floor just added to the charm of the whole experience. Overall very happy with the accommodation, the staff, the hotel and wonderful coastal villages of Port Isaac and its surrounds.

One Word: Fantastic!
We loved our stay. The staff were so friendly & helpful. Our room had a small balcony overlooking a glimpse of the sea. The bathroom was small but more than adequate. The breakfasts were fantastic. Port Isaac is definitely Doc Martin country but is also a great interesting village. We would love to return.

Perfectly situated, friendly accomodation.
The Slipway staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was small but spotlessly clean and perfectly situated for exploring the town. Unfortunately being winter there was absolutely nothing open in town. Thankfully we could dine at the Slipway which provided a varied and tasty menu, and breakfast offered us a great range of tasty English fare. For those that don’t like walking be aware that the only car park is a good 5 minute walk away with some steep terrain to negotiate. We would definitely come back!

Best place to stay in Port Isaac
Hi, our stay was excellent, the staff were all very helpful, even carrying our luggage to our room, as my wife walks with elbow crutches, and I am 74, the lady on reception came to show us how everything in the room worked, from the TV to the kettle, our room had a balcony with a sea view.

No parking and lots of stairs
Nice little B&B but no parking available - need to park in public/pay display car park at the top of the village - up hills and at least a 15-minute fast-paced walk. Not ideal at all. When booking the hotel, we called to inquire about the parking situation and was told it was 'just a short walk' at the top of the village - not really.... Came back late in the evening one night after driving around the beautiful area and had to walk back to the hotel on a very dark, rainy, windy and cold evening. You also had the worry about getting back to the car in time the next morning before the 'pay time' ran out. Not very relaxing. Our room was nice and the bed very comfortable; however, it was up a very tight and small stairwell - again not ideal when you are staying for two nights on the way back home after travelling for several days and you have lots of luggage - that you didn't want to leave in the car that would be parked in a public car park 15+ minutes away.... We usually don't stay in places that do not offer parking facility but took their word it was just a short walk. That won't happen again. Other than that, if you don't mind the parking situation and are travelling light with little luggage - this is a nice little place to stay. The breakfast is also very good.

Great spot along south west coastal walk
Located in the heart of Port Isaac, friendly service and great atmosphere. We booked the smuggler's loft that gave us more room and a great view of the waves at high tide. Only downside is forgetting to duck between rooms once despite their sign, if you are tall you may prefer to book a different room.
