The room was cold and sparse. It was very loud from downstairs restaurant/lounge. Had to go downstairs for microwave. Bed was very uncomfortable. Just overall kind of janky.

Wi-fi and cell service was nonexistent in my room or the library. Housekeeping only services the room if requested. This wasn’t told upfront. No hotel personnel on site from 11-7a.m. Elevator(lift) is only available on request with an operator. Probably ok if you aren’t staying for business.

Lots of character and history. Nice to stay in a place that isn't cookie cutter. Room had everything expected, including nicely updated bathroom, but nothing but a small ledge to put toiletries. What a unique and charming place to stay. It was like stepping back in time. The beds were very comfortable. Rooms were quiet. The staff was friendly and attentive. Their restaurant provided a relaxing atmosphere and delicious food.
