Candy and Alfredo went above and beyond in assisting with our private plane arrangements and ensured that every aspect of our stay was seamless and perfectly coordinated within the resort. Alexander, who took care of us in the pool area, made an already incredible experience unforgettable. His attentiveness and care were unmatched, and he truly spoiled us while we enjoyed some of the most magical sunsets I have ever seen. However, Makanda exceeded those expectations in every way, and it absolutely deserves recognition. This is a destination I would return to without hesitation."

"Do not hesitate. The property is absolutely outstanding. Well appointed room, amazing bedding, extraordinarily helpful and pleasant staff, amazing views from the room, the restaurant, and the lounge (perfect for sunsets). Toucans, macaws, iguanas inhabit the property as well. Every concern is catered to. The highest possible recommendation!"

"The stay was overall enjoyable. The views are great, and the property has wildlife everywhere you look. The best sightings were early in the morning or late at night, when things were quieter and the animals were more active. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was consistently friendly. Free breakfast was included and was great. Free guided day tour was also included. Also did the night tour and would highly recommend it. "

"The hotel was lovely but we had a room that faced the road and did not match the one described. I was very disappointed at first. But it was not the hotel's fault at all and they went out of their way to make our stay nice. My suggestion is not to book with Expedia. Go directly to the website of the property and select the appropriate room. "

"Pros; monkeys in the morning, helpful staff, good breakfast, amazing views, good wifi, perfect location for walking to manuel antonio park. Cons: on a super steep hill, elevators are 3 person max, our bathroom couldve used some maintenance, the "king" bed rooms do NOT have king beds. They are queens turned sideways so our feet hung off the bed all night."
