"If you’re looking for a historic experience while visiting the castle, you can’t get better than this Inn. It’s obviously been modernized, but eating downstairs has such a tavern feel to it. The portions are huge and the food is delicious especially the welsh pie and soups. Within the castle walls, you’ll have an array of local shops and pubs to frequent after touring the castle. Enjoy a walk along the water. As others have mentioned, there are stairs and it can be a bit of a maze to get to your room. I was worried but this actually did not bother me. As long as you can lift your suitcase up stairs, you’ll be fine. "

"Such a wonderful stay - we only stayed one night and hadn’t overly researched where we were staying but were so pleasantly surprised. Beautiful, comfortable stay and restaurant was great too. The guy who was on reception 26th June about 3/4pm (maybe from Birmingham) who checked us in could not have been more helpful, so friendly and welcoming he really set the tone for our trip. Great customer service x"

"Everything great apart from room temperature lack of ventilation.windows did not open enough. Were given a small table fan which didn't help much. So had two uncomfortable nights. No aircon but ceiling fan would have been a help."

"Stayed in one of the lodge rooms after doing the Welsh Three peaks. Being able to park right outside the room was a really helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the half price access to health spa was a real bonus. Will be staying again"
