Great value stay
Very nice and comfortable room to stay. Had the best shower for a while and it came with complimentary breakfast which I totally didn't realise. The food was very homey and and tasty so a big bonus. Would definitely stay there again if back in Porto.

The room was spacious and was clean and comfortable. It had a working heater which was essential during my stay as it got cold at night. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The property is about 10mins walk to city centre and a bit of a uphill climb to get back. But overall was happy with my stay!

Great place in Porto!
Charming House Cedofeita is a nicely renovated guest house with 6 rooms. It is in a very quiet location, on the outskirts of the city centre. We took a metro from a train station to get to the hotel, but be aware it is another 15 min. walk to get to the hotel. You will need to let them know ahead of time what time you arrive as they do not have a 24/7 reception desk. We loved our room - it was nicely decorated and quiet (facing a garden). Their breakfast selection was great! They always had some cookies&cakes for you to enjoy even during a day.

Charming B&B in Porto
The staff were very welcoming and provided any required information. This B&B is about 15 minutes walk from the nearest metro station (Lapa). To get to the main attractions, it is about 20 to 25 minutes walk. Porto is a very walkable city, so if you do not mind walking, this B&B may be a good choice for you. The room (we stayed in a room on the second floor) is quite spacious, and the beds are comfortable. The bathroom is great, with the best shower we had in our entire trip in Portugal. The shampoo and soap products are a nice touch. Breakfast is continental, but it is quite good (more than sufficient to start they day). The only major complaint about our room is that the WiFi did not work most of the time. When it did work, it was very slow, and then would disconnect. We told the staff (who did try to fix this), but they never did get it to work. In terms of restaurants, there are several good ones in the area. So lots of choice available.

A great hotel alternative in Porto
This accommodation is the perfect alternative to a hotel or flat rental. It’s housed in a recently renovated building and has only and handful or rooms. The building includes a large communal living room with tourist information and a spacious rear garden. There is also a breakfast room that serves a delicious cold breakfast including freshly squeezed orange juice, meats, cheese, toast, crepes, fruit and pastries. Tea, cakes and fruit are available in the afternoon although we didn’t get a chance to partake. The staff are friendly but we had little interaction with them outside of breakfast, as the House is not staffed like a typical hotel (e.g. no ‘front desk’). The house is located a short walk (10-15 minutes) from the old town and the river (we walked everywhere the entire weekend) but also close to bus stops. There is a grocery store just up the street. We missed breakfast one morning and ate at Apartamento Café which is highly recommended (great coffee). The room was tastefully yet minimally decorated with a comfy bed and pillows. Our room was just above the kitchen on the first floor which was very loud in the morning, even for the heavy sleeper in the room. Highly recommend a room on the second floor! Overall, a great stay at this lovely boutique house, with the exception of the disturbed sleep.

Charming House is a charming guesthouse!
The neighbourhood of this hotel is undergoing gentrification. Some nearby buildings are sitting empty. Still, I never felt unsafe and it is located close to the historic core of Porto. This was a marvellous little guesthouse - just six rooms in total. While there is no "hot food" for breakfast, the assortment of cold foods and fruit were first rate. The orange juice is freshly squeezed so has marvellous flavour. There are no overnight staff so it is a little spooky coming back to the guesthouse at 10:00 pm and finding no lights on. One quickly understands how to put on some lights (they operate on timers) and make your way to your room. My bathroom contained a rainwater shower and the floor of the shower was cedar planking with the water running through and down a drain. The air conditioning was controlled by a remote and there were blackout shutters on the windows ensuring a solid night's sleep. My room was on the top floor and I never heard any street noise. In short, I can strongly recommend this guesthouse for anyone visiting Porto!

Bed&breafast abbastanza centrale a Porto. Il centro della città lo si raggiunge in 15/20 minuti a piedi. Stanza pulita ma non eccessivamente ampia ma dotata di tutti i comfort. Colazione servita dalle 9 alle 10.30 e prevalentemente salata. Si segnala la non presenza fissa di una persona alla reception. Anzi la quasi assenza, la receptionist è presente solo per il check-in.

Die Lage ist gut, da unweit des Hauses die Metrostation Lapa liegt und der Weg vom Flugplatz zum Haus sehr einfach ist. Auch ist der Weg in die Altstadt leicht zu finden und gut zu gehen. Die Zimmer sind gut, das Bad aufgrund des Alters des Hauses etwas klein. Auch sind die Zimmer hellhörig. Bei einem leichten Schlaf kann dies nicht so angenehm sein. Insgesamt waren wir sehr gerne dort und würden es wieder buchen.

Après une attente devant la porte, sous la pluie, pour cause de problème de sonnette, nous avons été sous le charme de la maison, tout le confort du moderne dans un superbe vieux bâtiment...il faut quand même hisser sa valise jusqu’ au 2ème étage pour arriver dans notre chambre. Boissons et gâteaux à disposition l’ après midi et super petit déjeuner , bon et très raffiné. Le petit jardin doit être un vrai plus , sous le soleil!

Nós não somos um hotel, mas sim um Bed&Breakfast. O nosso estabelecimento está no centro do Porto, a nossa rua é a primeira de interesse histórico pelas suas casas do inicio do sec. XX, a 10 minutos do metro, dos principais pontos de interesse, como avenida do Aliados, torre dos clérigos, livraria Lello, Igreja Carmo e Carmelitas, Galerias das artes. O nosso estabelecimento é uma casa da antiga burguesia onde fazemos questão de manter a traça original de 1902, pelo que não tem elevador e tem 3 pisos. Os nossos hóspedes tem um código para abertura de porta no check-in, mas que por motivos das chuvas avariou durante a sua estadia e tivemos de dar a chave porta, mas a nosso entender em nada quebra a segurança. Todas as informações estão no site de reserva, para que os nossos hóspedes não sejam surpreendidos. Pensamos que a nossa classificação fala por si. Muito obrigada Carla

Découverte de Porto
Très bon accueil. Hôtes disponibles,souriants et très serviables comme la plupart des portugais que nous avons croisé. Hôtel à l'écart de l'agitation du centre de porto où les travaux sont permanents et la circulation intense et difficile. La voiture n'est pas le moyen de locomotion à privilégier. Prendre les bus ou métro pour circuler plus aisément. Resto très abordables. Le mieux est de se retirer des lieux trop touristiques ou tout le monde s'agglutine ( le long du quai du Douro, caves )pour déguster des plats de meilleure qualité et mieux apprécier le mode de vie des «vrais portugais».

Bonnes prestations mais bruyant sur rue
Très bel endroit, belles hauteurs sous plafond, jolie déco. Personnel très à l’écoute. Seul bémol de taille : si vous avez une chambre sur rue, c’est extrêmement bruyant .(j’avais l’impression de dormir dans la rue!) Malheuresement, aucune chambre sur cour n’etait disponible pour changer. Après l’achat de boules Quies, j’ai pu dormir.... Si vous avez la chance d’avoir une chambre sur cour, c’est un excellent hôtel.

Die Unterkunft war in sehr schönem Zustand, frisch und hell. Unser Zimmer - nach hinten zum Garten gelegen - war auch wunderbar ruhig. Das Personal war durchweg sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und mit echter Gastgeber-Mentalität.

Personligt och charmigt
Hotellet har bra läge även om trafiken på gatan utanför kan upplevas störande. Med rum mot trädgården var detta inget problem. Fick ett fantastiskt bra mottagande på vi checkade in . Genomgång av Porto , förslag på sevärdheter och hur vi kunde disponera några dagar där. Frukosten var mycket bra och all personal mycket trevlig

Excellent rapport qualité prix
Très bel hôtel très bon confort charme de l’ancien et du moderne, magnifique parquet qui peut se révéler fort désagréable la nuit quand vos voisins sont irrespectueux. Excellent petit déjeuner buffet froid fruits frais yaourts et crepes maisons, pain croissant fromage jambon... personnel agréable et disponible faisant son maximum pour vous aider. Bonne situation au calme mais proche du centre avons tout fait à pied. Parking payant en face de l’hôtel pour dix euros par jour. Nous conseillons vivement!!!

Stunning beautiful house with very (!) big rooms
Most stunning house, with lovely management. Extremely spacious, and probably 4 meters to the ceiling. Not situated in the touristic center, but either 15 minutes to walk, or take a very cheap Uber. Very helpful staff and management.

Erg mooi!
We zijn uiterst harteljk ontvangen, een echt welkom. We zijn uitstekend geinformeerd over hetgeen we in Porto zeker moesten bezoeken. We hadden een mooie kamer met uitzicht over de tuin. Goede voorzieningen en een zeer goed verzorgd ontbijt. Op loopafstand van de oude stad. Een aanrader!!
