Must stay!
Amazing stay. The ladies we all encountered at the front desk and breakfast were lovely. Everyone was so helpful and caring. The breakfast was delicious and so fresh. Loved the special Portuguese coffee and crepes. Modern clean hotel with comfy pillows and beds. Would definitely stay again

Staff were all outstanding and extremely helpful in making sure our stay was comfortable and our itinerary interesting. The hotel was amazing quiet and unique architecturally our balcony was great for relaxing and looking out over Porto. The location was great for us as we enjoy walking and did not want to be in the thick of the tourist area, we had the the Casa du Musica, local restaurants and markets on our doorstep. We would recommend Casa do Conto in which we stayed or the sister hotel Tipografia which we visited and has a bar and outside area and small pool.

Long weekend in Porto

Villa Loios
We did not stay at either off the hotels but visited them both. Beautiful properties! Casa do Conto provided us with one of their apartment properties (Villa Loios) which was closer to the historical district. We loved it and the care and device was impeccable.

Property is very contemporary boutique hotel in older section of Porto. Close to most sites in the travel guides & some hidden gems. Staff is accommodating to guests’ needs. We didn’t like the 1/2 floor concept. Still had to take luggage 1/2 way up or down & over a gap at the door. My friend found this a little disconcerting. Buffet breakfast was wonderful continental+ & lounge open at night for drinks. Most staff spoke good English. This is for Travelocity—the address you gave to this property is the older one which is a block & 1/2 away. Please update as I didn’t pay attention to the address change in subsequent emails. Also, emphasize that even though you may be reserving a room for more than just one night, the hotel takes only one night’s pymt. for a retainer. Most of the properties you advertise take the entire amount. Was a bit surprised at arrival that I had to pay addt’l $300+.

The service was excellent overall, the staff extremely friendly and helpful. They gave me a complementary mobile phone with suggestions for sightseeing and basic apps like maps and uber ect. I would visit this property again anytime.

Enjoyable stay in Porto
Really cozy yet modern stay at Casa do Conto. Was here with my boyfriend for 4 nights, and from we arrived till we left, we were taken care of and was warmly received by the hostess. Breakfast was included which was lovely. Overall, great stay and we enjoyed loads.

Super stylish but some issues
We stayed in the new Tipografia and there were a few teething issues. They were preparing for the official opening and there were workmen, cables, tools etc all over the public spaces, which did not make them comfortable to be in so we couldn’t use them. Noise travelled throughout the hotel and disturbed the time we spent in our room. They only have 1 tea bag for two people, one pair of slippers and very small dressing gowns. However, the hotel is super stylish, very comfy bed and Mafalda was really very nice. Breakfast was good but not explained very well and the local area was just a short 10 minute walk into town. Lots of coffee shops and restaurants along the way.

Amazing hotel - service, design, space!
Wow - this hotel blew me away. The architecture and design were spectacular. The room and the public spaces were gorgeous. Breakfast was really top notch. And I can't say enough about the service. Every person at the front desk went out of her/his way to help - charting out roots on maps, telling us what to see, how to get there, what to eat, etc. Marsea was over the top amazing. When we left she created an itinerary for us on our way to Lisbon. One small drawback is that the location is about 15 minutes walk into the tourist part of town. We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and the local restaurants, however, be aware that the hotel isn't in the center.

Only 10 min walk from the center. Do not judge the book by its cover. Out room was beautiful and spacious with a balcony. The decor is gorgeous the staff very helpful and knowledgable And breakfast was delicious and fresh Would highly recommend.

Design lovers nest
I’d gladly recommend this place to any design lover. The attention to detail is simply amazing. I loved our balcony as well. It’s a small boutique place with friendly staff that makes you feel like it’s a very stylish b&b.

Well designed renovated townhome in great neighborhood. Convenient walking to most sites. Very spacious rooms. Nicely furnished. Good water pressure and nice linens. Fabulous breakfast buffet. Kindest staff imaginable. Only negative was absolutely no storage space for bathroom items. Painfully awkward bathroom space.

A good base for a visit to Porto. Staff were really friendly and helpful with local restaurant recommendations. A good 10 minute walk into the centre which might put some people off but was fine for us.

The hotel was modern and clean. The beds were extremely comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. The staff was very helpful and check-in was a breeze. The hotel was reasonably close to sites and restaurants.

Very stylish & trendy hotel
Gorgeous hotel. Lovely staff. A bit ‘form over function’ as all very much about the look. Excellent rooms very comfortable, but had to pay for tea and coffee! Breakfast looked great but had little choice really. Eggs only hot food on offer. Hotel a very long walk or taxi ride (€7) from Old Town. Not a problem for most but we were there in temperatures of 38*... If you are looking for a stylish boutique hotel this is excellent. If you want convenience and just a place to sleep then maybe go somewhere nearer the river front

Beautiful hotel with a unique design
The hotel is beautiful and has a very interesting design with the use of concrete, with poetry etched into the ceiling of the rooms. Absolutely stunning! The staff & hotel are warm & inviting, and I would highly recommend to friends & family! Thank you Casa do Conto for a lovely stay.

I'd never stay anywhere else in Porto.
I don't usually leave reviews, but after such a wonderful experience at Casa do Conto, I feel that I must. When I arrived, Raul and Joanna made me feel like I was the most important person in Porto! I was made to feel so welcome, and nothing seemed too much trouble (Raul even helped me to park my car). They were both on hand to offer recommendations for great restaurants in the area. The next morning, another of their colleagues (who I'm sorry I didn't catch the name of) presented a great breakfast to me and made the check out process so easy. There is a lovely garden at the back of the building as well as a charming common area which add a real touch of home. Raul helped me to my room with my bags, and I was delighted with what awaited me beyond the door. A trendy room with all of the facilities you could wish for. A powerful shower, lovely balcony, and very comfortable bed, along with a whole host of other amenities, such as a coffee machine, chilled water and a great variety of lighting - bright enough to read, but with the option to create a cosy atmosphere (which believe me, as someone who travels for business every week, is a lovely change from the norm). I have already recommended the hotel to friends and family, and would personally never stay anywhere else when visiting Porto in the future.
