"This is a fun hotel in a great location right in the centre of Porto and within easy walking distance of all the main sights. The hotel combines with a very up market student halls of residence and has lots of co working facilities. As result the lobby area has plenty of seating, books and games. The pool and bar on the roof are also fun, although the pool is not really deep enough to swim in. Breakfast was partially labelled with enough items to suit my dairy intolerance. Staff directed me to gluten free items which were also dairy free. These were wrapped so safe even for more serious allergies than mine. The chocolate muffins were very good but the bread was fairly inedible (it might be better heated but I didn’t think to ask) . I would come back to this hotel and will recommend it to friends and family !"

"This was a last minute stay for us as our plans changed due to a forest fire in the Douro valley. The hotel room was very clean but unfortunately the shower didn’t work when we arrived, the fault was quickly fixed when we reported it to reception although I had to go downstairs for this as the room phone didn’t work. Breakfast was ok, it was unlabelled which made it much more difficult for me to find items to suit my dairy intolerance and I wasn’t confident in the quality of staff advice when I asked for help. I found enough food but it meant my choices were very limited. Clear allergy labelling and/ or an allergy folder or information sheet on allergens in standard items for customers would really help with this. Staff were very helpful in taking care of our bags and we enjoyed exploring the local area, especially the botanical gardens. We also went to the Casa da Musica for a performance by the Symphonic Orchestra and this was totally amazing, I highly recommend. All in all, this hotel was good value but could be better with slightly more attention to details and allergy information."

"if you dont mind 4 blank walls then this place is perfect. They do have a ceiling roof that you can open and a side window (both a hidden) that can open to let outer light in. This is essentially a capsule hotel but with a bigger room and a personal bathroom"

"The room was clean and house keeping attended daily. The building is very old as I suspect many in the area are. The bathroom was very small and one of the taps in the shower was broken. It came out of the wall in my hand. There was soap supplied. The heat pump was very good for air conditioning. The beds were adequate but very uncomfortable mattresses for both. The area is secure and in the heart of shopping districts and restaurants. There is no elevator and our room was on the third floor so it was difficult climb with suitcases. We were helped by the staff with that on arrival. There were no amenities for food or coffee at the hotel. The key access was very old and each outings the key was handed in to the desk clerk which did feel safe as there was staff there 24 hours. The desk clerks were friendly. The fee I paid when I booked was changed when I arrived for a considerably larger fee and was told by the desk clerk that his friend made a mistake when he booked me. This was upsetting."

"The hotel is a good walk from the river and the old town. Staff are helpful, rooms clean and well maintained and there is a nice ground floor bar. Great view from the rooftop bar."
