The property was spotless. On arrival JJ showed us around and to our room. Room was ideal and we had a sea view. Great breakfast selection. Looking forward to the next time.

Immaculate clean room with unsuite and gorgeous breakfast
The bed and breakfast was first class standard. JJ and Marie were exceptional in their care. The attached coffee shop was ably headed up by James who had the same standard of care and attention to detail. The available use of a little kitchen for storing food or having snacks was very much appreciated.
Great place to stay, the people who run this B and B were very nice and extremely helpful, rooms were comfortable and clean and also breakfast was delicious

Thank-you for your comments, we are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us. We do like to advise our guests that the washing machine in our kitchenette is only for use of small items of laundry. Thank-you Marie
Parking was limited. We had hoped to leave our luggage before check in time as many places allow but no one answered the door and a sign stated check in time at 3- it was a very nice stay, small but very nice. Everything was very clean and a comfortable stay. Looking online I saw laundry facilities available but not really. A local laundry would do laundry for a cost. The breakfast was very good and our hosts were pleasant and attentive. I would recommend this B/B highly w/ the exception that laundry is not available

Thank-you Debra for your comments. It is disappointing that you appear to have more negative comments regarding your stay than positive ones. Re parking we have off street parking and private parking at the back of the property. Check-in is from 3pm as we have a large number of rooms this time is required to allow housekeeping staff to prepare rooms for guests arriving. If JJ or I are here then we have no issue with guests leaving luggage with us before the 3pm check-in time. Re- rooms you had actually booked our cheaper Standard rooms but you were upgraded to a Deluxe Double as it was available and you appear to have found that room small. Your issue with Laundry, you rang me the evening before you arrived and asked about laundry. I informed you that we are happy to do small items for guests if needed. When you arrived you had 4 large bags of Laundry and JJ was happy to advise you were you could get this done. We no longer advertise as having Laundry facilities.. Thank-you
We spent 3 nights at Cul Erg House, along with the 2 other couples. We all had a fantastic stay! Marie and JJ were wonderful hosts. The rooms were wonderful, the breakfast was amazing- a large menu, gluten free options as well. The location was perfect for walking to the promenade (about a 10-15 min walk) where there were shops and restaurants. JJ always had great information on where to go to eat and what to do. There was parking on the street and also a driveway around back. We would highly recommend a stay at Cul Erg House!!!

Thank-you for your comments.. All our rooms have information packs with all local information and tourist leaflets. JJ is also always available to readily provide any assistance he can give as other guests regularly comment on. Regarding your room as you opted to be anonymous I am not able to see what room you are referring to. Our rooms do vary in size and price depending on the room type you choose at the time of your booking. Thank-you JJ & Marie
Cul-Erg House was perfectly located for our three day stop In Portstewart to take in the sights and scenery of Northern Ireland’s beautiful Causeway Coastal Route. The friendly owners (JJ and Marie) are second to none and run a great B&B. They set us off on our travels each day with a delicious breakfast and provided us with numerous local knowledge travel tips. We can highly recommend the Cul-Erg House! PS. JJ’s sharp wit is priceless! Cheers, Ian and Deneen.

Great location, close to all the major attractions in the area and within walking distance to restaurants and the city center. The hosts are very friendly and very helpful. The only downside was the non-working heater. By the time we found out it wasn't working it was in the middle of the night and we didn't want to wake up the owners. That was a mistake on my part, because my friend caught a cold as a result.

Thank-you for your review.. Sorry you found your room cold but the radiators in the room are very easy to adjust..It was a shame you didn't make us aware of it.. Our guests overall comfort is extremely important to us.. Marie
Very nice stay with great breakfast. JJ was super helpful with advice about local area and made a booking at Harry’s Shack for dinner. Delicious food. Also ate at the Anchor where food was great but atmosphere was a bit noisy.

Very enjoyable stay! The room and location were good for the price. Breakfast was delightful and much appreciated! Host gave local knowledge of area. The only thing was the bathroom door in the room didn’t close properly. Everything else was perfect!

Thank-you Leah for your comments. Apologies regarding the issue with the door. You should have made us aware of the problem and we could have easily resolved it for you.. Marie
The host was amazing. We arrived very late and he greeted us with a brilliant smile. He offered us drinks and carried our heavy luggage up to our room. The breakfast was outstanding and the bed was the most comfortable of any on our vacation. We look forward to returning.

JJ and Marie were excellent hosts. The breakfast was excellent. The facility was conveniently located and just minutes to the Port Stewart promenade. The room was good but got stuffy under 70 degree weather. A fan would have made it a lot more comfortable. Car parking in the back of the facility was great. JJ also provided great advice on places to visit and/or skip. Overall, I highly recommend Cul Erg House.

Thank-you for your comments..Yes we were experiencing some very warm weather that was unusual for us.. In Ireland fans are generally not required.. Marie
This was a wonderful place to stay on our first night in Ireland. JJ and the whole family were extremely friendly and accommodating. A delicious Irish breakfast was served to being our day exploring the beautiful Giant's Causeway. We would love to visit again and highly recommend Cul Erg House!!
Loved the Cul Erg B&B! I'm VERY picky about beds and their comfort. I slept very well at Cul Erg. The room was clean. Breakfast was great! Marie and JJ were absolutely wonderful! JJ gave us great recommendations as we continued on our road trip around the island. I would definitely recommend this B&B.
Cul Erg was beautiful, well located in walking distance to the beach, shops and eateries. Our hosts were friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious, nice hot shower and comfortable bed.
My dad and I needed a place to stay for a night while exploring Northern Ireland. We couldn’t have picked a better place to stay! The rooms were pristine and incredibly comfortable. The couple running the BnB are so welcoming and helped us plan part of our trip in NI, and their suggestions were some of the most beautiful places we saw on our trip. I would definitely recommend Cul Erg to anyone, it couldn’t have been any more amazing than it was.

Such a darling gem of a B&B. Mary and JJ take a personal interest in making their guest feel comfortable and have a wonderful visit. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Exceptional B & B. Owners very friendly and willing to share places to see and things to do. Warm ambiance. Walking distance to 10 restaurants and pubs. Close to many golf courses including Portstewart ad Portrush.
Marie and JJ are amazing hosts, nothing is too much trouble. Everything is high end, spotlessly clean and immaculate. Perfectly located for touring and easy walking distance to the beach. Don't miss out!
Very nice B&B near the ocean (2 minute walk tops). JJ, our host, was quite nice and very helpful, the B&B was clean and well kept overall, room was plenty big enough, bed was comfortable, breakfast was outstanding. Our only regret was that we stayed only one night. Would stay here again if in the Port Stewart area in the future.
You are guaranteed a friendly welcome, the room was very comfortable and clean. The overall experience of the accommodation was of a high standard. The breakfast was 5 star. I cannot fault this accommodation in any way, J.J. Was very helpful with local advice and you can pick up through the conversations that this is not only a business but their life. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking a calm relaxing break.
