"Excellent place to stay! The resort is beautiful, the facilities are clean and well maintained, and the on-site restaurant was quite good. We really enjoyed our stay overall. The only area that could use some attention is the (not designated) dog relief area, which was unfortunately quite dirty. It would be helpful to have a clearly visible sign reminding pet owners to pick up after their dogs so the area can remain clean and pleasant for everyone traveling with pets. Otherwise, a wonderful resort and a very enjoyable stay!"

While you can’t just step out and be in downtown, it’s within reasonable walking distance if weather is good. "I cannot figure out why this hotel did not receive a much higher rating on trip advisor or other rating platforms. The staff was terrific- friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, the bed very comfortable and the coffee-maker and fridge were a nice addition. The continental breakfast was generous and had a number of options, helping us avoid having to find a restaurant each morning and allowing us to get into the park each morning before the crowds. The location was perfect- right near both Bar Harbor and the park. We would definitely stay here again."
