"Our room was nice and clean and comfortable. We had a gorgeous view of the river from our room.
Overall, the hotel was a bit dated and tired, and could use some freshening up."
"The breakfast was mostly nice. The parking was good. When a large group of very noisy people came into the room next to us at 11 PM. The staff responded well when we asked for them to do something about the noise. Our only problems were that the hot tub was closed, there was not extra toilet paper in the bathroom and the shampoo in the shower was completely empty. Other than that, the room was nice and our stay was good."
"Room and everywhere in the building was great. Staff were great. Chose this hotel over others in the area because it had a functioning pool and hottub, but the pool was very cold and the hottub had a lot of scunge build up floating around. So much that we didn't feel like getting in, so that was disappointing. Also, we found a pill in our bathroom and a different one on the floor outside the bathroom which made me wonder how much cleaning is done between guests, and that's really scary if there are little kids who could eat them! Also there were long hairs on our 'clean' towels. Overall gave me an ick feeling."
Richland Riverfront Hotel and Conference Center, Ascend Hotel Collection
6/10 Okay
"The hotel is a huge 2 story "motel" that is primarily programmed for large groups and conference events.....when we visited (May 1) it appeared deserted, and I only counted 6 guests....a little spooky to be in a huge hotel with only 6 guests.....Took me 15 minutes to find the ice machine....in room TV was having technical issues...The best part of the hotel is the huge pool complex and Jacuzzi, very well maintained"
"The room was very clean & quiet. We couldn't hear any noises in our room.
The bathroom only had two bath towels & two wash cloths, but no hand towels.
Especially accommodating with regards to my older, deaf dog. There outside "pet area" was extremely clean & included bags & a garbage can for waste.
The kitchen had two plates, one bowl, two coffee cups, one fork, one butter knife, no spoons, one small pot, one small frying pan, one large slotted spoon, one spatula, one handheld canopener, one dish towel & dish cloth.
The staff were very hospitable & friendly.
We didn't use the laundry, but the machines appear to operate off a cellphone app. "
