"Great family resort"
Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya - All Inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"Everything was good the only thing is the food quality kinda went down but not room service for some reason there food was 10/10 lol this was our 4 time staying here but other than that perfect family vacation the pools are great and the Lagoon are perfect keeps the seaweed away since they block it with big rocks"
Wyndham Alltra Playa del Carmen Adults Only All Inclusive
8/10 Good
"Liked the staff and pool. The beach is almost nonexistent. Also.some of the restaurants are not open on certain nights"
Platinum Yucatan Princess Adults Only - All Inclusive
8/10 Good
"The rooms are a decent size & seemed pretty clean & the beds were adequately comfortable. The restaurants are pretty good (we liked the Italian and the Asian best), but, my dh said the small portions were not enough (my dd & I thought it was plenty to not feel stuffed & uncomfortable). You can visit the 2 next-door sister resorts (not adult's only); we thought the buffet next door had better options for food & that the resort itself & pool & chairs were more updated than ours, but, our pool was much cleaner & we liked the pool bar better as well (not to mention, adults-only). Also, the staff was very responsive whenever we needed anything. Room service was quick, but options are limited. There are several things that need updated at the Yucatan; the shade on the lamp above the table in our room looked as if it had been burned at some point & should be replaced; we were out on our 2nd floor balcony one evening & the door locked on its own-luckily our dd was in the room to let us in to name just a couple. Also, coati's are roaming about & sometimes harass ppl eating by the pool. But we had a great time with activities & relaxing. Special shout-out to the entry area staff, particularly Javier (he was phenomenal and I would go back to this resort just to see him again) & I'm very sorry but I can't remember the name of the other man (he was taller and wore glasses)-he was great as well. Add'l downside: beach is not visible from the resort, but was unusable due to sargassum anyway."
Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya - Adults Only - All Inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"Food was great for an all inclusive. Better quality booze in the preferred lounge, but none of the bars were serving anything terrible. Staff was incredible, specifically the bartender at the preferred club, servers by the main pool, the entertainment guy Anthony, and our concierge Ricardo. The hotel plans excursions for you, but found significantly better prices if you book online. Snorkeling with turtles was sick, but youโre overpaying for a guide, bring snorkeling gear and you can do it all day for free (was definitely best excursion we did). Tulum ruins were mid, but cenotes were super cool. The steakhouse and mexican place were the best dinners i had, and chicken quesadillas by the pool were awesome. Very nice quiet jungle vibe as you walk around the property (easy to get lost) and there are a ton of iguanas. Resort is super safe and medical responses are prompt. Room next to ours had a medical emergency and the site doctor arrived in ~5 mins with real paramedics arriving within 10 mins. Crowd was younger than expected based on other reviews. Was like 50/50 20-30s couples / 40s-70s couples."
Sandos Caracol Nature Resort & Water Park All Inclusive
8/10 Good
"The cenote was the best part of the resort taking a plunge to cool you self off. We were not happy being solicited into buying time share etc at the time of checking in."
Devossion By Live Aqua Playa del Carmen All Inclusive - Adults Only
8/10 Good
"Clean great staff and the location is everything. Food could be better but other than that perfect"
Catalonia Riviera Maya Resort and Spa All Inclusive
8/10 Good
"We booked 2 rooms for our family, rooms were spacious, had all the necessities. Food was really good, a little bummed we couldnโt eat at the restaurants that required reservations as there werenโt any available. Overall we had a great time."
