I want to start by saying that we have traveled extensively through Mexico and I have lived there, so we know that the hotels are not the same as what you would find in the U.S. We booked our room in Aug. (it was the last room available in the whole town) and paid in full upfront as required (+$1300 USD for 6 nights) In Nov., I started receiving texts and phone calls from the manager, Marietta, who explained that the person who used to be in charge didn't work there anymore and could I please send the payment again then ask for reimbursement from Paypal. I explained that if the money was "stolen" (as she described it), that I couldn't get the money back and that they needed to handle it on their end. When we arrived, the first thing that Marietta asked about was payment. Again, we paid over $200 USD per night for the room. When we checked in, the room was very small - 10 ft x 15 ft with no closet, hooks, or storage. The shower drain was covered to help mitigate the very strong sewer smell that came up through it. All of the towels and sheets were stained and ratty and weren't replaced daily. If we asked for clean towels, we were told that there "wasn't water" to wash them. The sheets were never changed. We were treated rudely and referred openly to as "the ones with the payment problem". We later found out that we were grossly overcharged for the room that we received (Room 6). Nice location, San Pancho is beautiful, just beware of this hotel!

True Mexican town!

If looking for peace and quiet this location isn’t for you. Bungalow La Perla is directly at the end of the Main Street beachfront. Lots of live music etc till late at night. Was Xmas week so may be a little more celebrating going on than usual. Marietta was very helpful and solved any issues as they arose . Room really should only accommodate 2 as the second bed was just a mattress on the floor.

El lugar es muy amplio y limpio, el personal súper amable y las instalaciones muy bien cuidadas. La cama muy cómoda cerca de la ventana para ver el mar, la regadera siempre con agua caliente y la cocineta con parrila, microondas, refri y agua de garrafón. Excelente trato por parte del hotel.

I do not recommend Bungalows La Perla since the owner made last minute changes of my reservation, sending me and my family to another location, still on construction, and far away from the original booked site at the beach and next to the restaurants and fun place. We were sent at the opposite side of town, between piles of trash. Another family member that also made a reservation at La Perla suffered the same change decided by the owner. This only shows that the hotel administrator and owner lacks compromise and serioness to run a hotel. The new place where we were sent did not have hot water and in one of the two rooms, there was not even enough cold water pressure to take a shower. Too bad, but apparently this is a common situation in many hotels and ab&b of San Pancho town...little serioness and compromise. It´s too bad since the town is nice and has an excellent beach.

Excelente y lindo hotel en frente de la playa

Con una atención espectacular de la dueña del hotel. Bungalows La Perla se convierte en una excelente opción para hospedarse dentro de San Pancho. Recomendable ponerse en contacto directamente con ella al teléfono que viene en la reservación para que pueda dar seguimiento de tu llegada. Desde que hablamos por teléfono fue muy amable y le dio seguimiento a mi reservación, en todo momento atenta a nuestra llegada y nos hizo favor de darnos instrucciones muy claras de cómo llegar al hotel. Además el cuarto en el que nos hospedamos cumplió con nuestras expectativas: muy buena limpieza, cama muy cómoda y baño bastante amplio. COSAS QUE RESALTAR Y DIFERENCIADORES PARA HOSPEDARSE AQUÍ: 1- Te reciben con una bebida refrescante muy rica. 2- Están a un lado de la playa y tienen convenio con el restaurante La Perla en la playa. Te hacen descuento en tu consumo y tienes camastros con sombrilla gratis por ser huésped del hotel. Por cierto, el restaurante tiene precios bastante accesibles y una muy rica cocina, con meseros amables. 3- El personal del hotel se esfuerza por dar el mejor servicio y Marieta, la dueña del hotel te intenta ayudar en lo que necesites, a nosotros nos ayudó a conseguir un buen Tour para las islas Marietas. ¡Totalmente recomendable!

La Perla no es la mejor opción para hospedarse.

Es la mejor ubicación para hospedarse en San Pancho, cuenta con servicio de toallas y camastros en la playa, también la persona que recibe es muy amable, sin embargo, el lugar no es el más cómodo, los espacios no están adecuados para las personas que dicen que caben, la cocineta no está equipada con lo necesario para ser Bungalow, solo había 2 platos y muy pocos utensilios para preparar alimentos, la TV con cable tiene muy mala imagen y conexión, no se puede tener privacidad dentro del Bungalow ya que el baño está dentro de la habitación y los que duermen en la cocina en un colchón en el piso tienen que pasar por la habitación para usar el sanitario. La acústica es mala, se escucha lo que sucede en el exterior y lo que sucede en las habitaciones contiguas. El servicio de internet inalámbrico es muy malo. Para el costo, esperábamos más.

esta muy cerca de la playa, el lugar es muy bonito

El. presonal es muy amable, reservé un bungalow q se supone es maximo para 5 personas, pero en realidad es máximo para 3. El lugar es muy bonito. Tienen camastros en la playa para los huéspedes pero no son suficientes. Te dicen en la recepción q puedes usar los del restaurante, pero los meseros no te dejan usarlos, aunque esten solos. Y si estas en los camastros de los huéspedes no te ofrecen servicio del restaurante, ni bebidas, ni nada.
