"Okay—yes, this is an older hotel. But here’s the thing: it’s spotless. Like, cleaner than some of these “new and trendy” places that clearly gave up halfway. Front desk? Absolute win. The woman there was genuinely kind and actually helpful (not the fake, robotic kind). No elevator and I got the 3rd floor—cool. But instead of just wishing me luck, she had someone carry my suitcase up. That’s how you handle it. And let’s not ignore the real MVP detail… cookies. Warm, welcoming, and honestly just the cherry on top. Older? Yes. Better service than most newer hotels? Also yes."

"Room was alright, pretty clean and quite spacious. I had a single. Breakfast is early so prepare to be up if you want it. I accidentally paid for two separate bookings and they helped me with no issues. Worth the price!"

"The adage "You get what you pay for" describes this hotel perfectly. I half expected to find Magic Fingers attached to the bed. I was in town for a week for a training and it satisfied what I needed. They do not provide breakfast unless it is an "Event" weekend for WSU. There are no amenities other than a room and access to an ice machine that is on the second floor and behind a locked door. Staff was accomodating whenever I needed something for my room. They do not do daily room cleans unless you ask for them and even then it is every 3 days. Front desk is not available after 8:30 pm and there where at least 2 times that there was no one there and the doors were locked with a note to call. Again, you get what you pay for and if cheap is what you need and a bed to sleep in then Cougar Land Motel is the place to stay."

"Good price and location. Close to downtown area with restaurants. Didn’t swim but pool and hot tub looked nice. Bed was extremely hard. No softness at all. Probably the worst bed I have slept in at a hotel in years. Bring extra blankets or a topper if you stay here."
