"The Filipino lady up front at the desk was reqlly really friendly. Bus station 2-minute walk, with the direct buses straight to the airport and the city . 12 minute walk away is the PLQ mall and main metro station . PLQ mall has all the shops. This hotel is located on same Street as the paranakan houses which is a heritage site. Hawker stalls are all over this place. I had breakfast at "what the puff "... Be careful at these rooms are very small... I take managed to get the bigger room which can fit your suitcase on the floor.. the smaller rooms had no room for large suitcases. Bathrooms were nice and big and very modern . When we were allowed to use the swimming pool in the sister hotel next door. Overall, this place is best bang for your book "

"Nice hotel "

"Hotel was in a lovely area with good food courts nearby, easy transport via the MRT or Grab taxi. The room was big and spacious. Unfortunately, it was in poor repair. The curtain linings were town, the bath was very scratched to the point it was stained and the fridge rattled a lot (until I 'MacGyvered' 2 wooden stirrers to stop the shelf from rattling 😉). Night staff were incredibly noisy cleaning at 1am to the point I went out to ask them to be quiet. A bit ironic, as there are signs asking guests to be quiet between 10pm and 7am. I didn't ask to be moved room, as my travel companions were not disturbed by it all and I didnt want to be moved too far away from them."

"The staff were helpful in accommodating a larger room and reserving a taxi for the morning. This is more like a hostel than a hotel. The shower is in the toilet area so everything including toilet paper gets soaked. The bed is soft and accessible only on one side. We felt very cramped in the room. It definitely does not look like photos on the website."

"It is an average hotel, mainly for conferences (as it had 5+ conference rooms). The location was near the Straits of Johore, and thats why we choose it. Unfortunately there is nothing around the hotel except army facilities and buildings - no local shops. Due to road works the road trip took over 30 minutes to get the hotel. One of the best features of the hotel was the free bus trip to the MRT station, for a quick and very cheap trip back to the airport."

"Hotel 81 Changi suited my needs very well. I was passing through Singapore, having a 30 hour layover. My room was not large but was clean and quiet. The hotel is located about 400 metres from a metro station which in turn is about 20 minutes from the airport. The front desk staff were very helpful."
