"An old building and we had stayed just once before the current owners took on the hotel. The staff were friendly, excellent prices for drinks both in the restaurant and bar. The Sri Lankan food was superb, tasty and full of flavour, next time I'll as for it to be hotter. The room was clean, comfortable despite being in an old building. Bathroom spotless, lovely fluffy towels, perhaps a little smell of damp in them. We will certainly return."

"Decent room, perhaps a bit of noise from guests (Friday night) but spacious and comfortable room. Reasonably priced. Pub meal was on point and better than it was previously. Staff were great. Parking was fine though not many spaces if arriving at a busy time."

"Needed a last minute stay and found an absolute gem with this place. It has just been taken over and they have made a great job of the renovation. Spotlessly clean. Really comfy bed and great shower. Staff couldn’t have been nicer. Nice and quiet on a night even though it faces the main road. Two minutes walk to pubs and restaurants. Fantastic overnight stay. Would 100% recommend. Good luck to the new owners."
