"Had a family of 5 with me and rented two cabins. August, the owner, said there was some screw up with Expedia and they ended up renting the same cabin twice for me on the same day instead of two different cabins. So he was able to accommodate two of us in the house with a shared bathroom. Other guests were nice enough, but it's something he should have caught well before we arrived and contacted me about the mix up as I placed the reservation about 10 weeks in advance. Instead, it became a surprise. The path from the driveway (limited parking) to the cabin was very rutted with deep holes in the grass. One of our party twisted her ankle pretty bad and we had a LOT of hiking ahead. So she was on ibuprofen and a leg wrap for the remainder of the trip. He should fix that ASAP. Breakfast was unremarkable. A decent stay for the night somewhat out of the way but happened to be at a good location for our agenda."

"The staff was very friendly and helpful. They even watch for the aurora and if it’s active will give you a wake up call. We were able to see them clearly from our patio. The room was nice and clean and had a great bathroom which was not the case at our other accommodations. The room did get warm but can open window. The breakfast was good and had a lot of options. We would stay here again."

"I don’t always give 5 stars across the board in a review but I will for Hotel Lauker. We were very comfortable for our 3 nights here. Stayed in one of the bright yellow cabins which was spacious and had a lovely view of the river and horses and a nice bench and deck outside and quite comfy sitting area inside. All of the staff we met were friendly and helpful and happy to have a conversation. The breakfast and dinner were both delicious. I definitely recommend and we’d stay here again."
