My now husband and I spent the last four days of our honeymoon at the rarotongan straight after staying at their sister resort, the private island in Aitutaki which was incredible! . We were not impressed at all. We weren’t greeted by any of the 3 staff in the lobby until we said hello and were told we had to wait for our room to be ready sometime in the next 7 hours. When we asked for beach towels we were told we should already have them and couldn’t receive any more. After discussing our situation we were handed towels. After returning these towels (not knowing you could only have two a day) the lady in the activities hut later said to us we couldn’t have more due to our allocation. Once 3pm hit we went to get our bags and weren’t offered any support for the three suitcases to our room which was 300meters away and up stairs. We had no do not disturb sign in our room, no pen to fill out a form which was no room cleaning for the next day to save environment. Our room then went without being cleaned for two days, only a new towel thrown on the bench and they left the door open to our room while we were out for the day. We paid $20 each for wifi which didn’t work in majority of the areas of the resort, one being our room which connected in and out. The food in the resort restaurant was great but we waited 1 and a half hours for food two nights in a row and lunch. Drinks were also delayed by 20 minutes. Tv in sports area didn’t play what they said would be on without being asked
